Aaro Camping – a beautiful family campsite with so much heart! We had a wonderful time with our caravan at the campsite and can wholeheartedly recommend this lovely place. ❤️ The campsite is family-run and managed by Isabell and Dirk, who are originally from Germany. They are both incredibly friendly, warm, and helpful – they are always there whenever you need assistance. You feel welcome from the very beginning. 🥰 The pitches are spacious and beautifully laid out, with water and electricity hookups right nearby. The peaceful atmosphere is especially lovely – perfect for simply switching off and relaxing. 🌳☀️ There's also plenty on offer for children! Our kids were particularly thrilled with the bouncy castle. Go-karts are available free of charge – a great perk for the little ones. An absolute highlight is the newly renovated washroom. It's so luxurious that you almost don't want to leave. 😍 Music, dimmed lights, and a truly pleasant atmosphere transform showering into a mini spa experience. A shower costs 10 DKK for 3.5 minutes, and a family bath costs 25 DKK for 20 minutes. The small shop also offers a variety of items: fresh rolls and bread can be ordered the day before. They also sell eggs, milk, and much more. For the kids, there's soft-serve ice cream, sushi, and other treats. We rented a golf cart for two hours and explored the island – a wonderful way to discover the surroundings. Another highlight was the tractor ride in the evening. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset and were even lucky enough to spot porpoises during the tour. A truly special experience for all of us. If you're looking for peace and quiet in nature and appreciate a warm and welcoming atmosphere, this is the perfect place. This was our most fantastic campsite. We were at the back with a view of the meadow with cows and birds. The sanitary facilities are incredible: so new, so modern, and so clean. The bread service is available online; there is a wide selection, and it is incredibly fresh every day. The cinnamon rolls are highly recommended; we didn't go a day without them, but everything was delicious. The food at the campsite is more than fine, and the drinks are very affordable. You can eat both tasty pizzas and fried food. There are ice creams like Cornetto and Magnum, but there is also soft serve and slush puppies in three flavors. There is a small shop, in case you need anything for drinks, for example. There are also golf carts for rent and a small farm. For the kids, there is a really fun playground. Isabell and Dirk work incredibly hard and are endlessly friendly. We spent 5 very relaxed, unforgettable days here.

We stayed for two days and paid €78. This included all electricity for the refrigerator and heating, showers, and, most importantly, the excellent sanitary facilities, which were very new and impeccably maintained. The showers were only 3.5 minutes long without breaks, but they were very clean and featured rain showers. The snack bar in the main building is highly recommended; the pancakes, in particular, are delicious. The island is small and peaceful, with plenty of quiet and fields all around. We would love to come back!

Very quiet and cozy, not too crowded. Here you can find peace and quiet and relax completely.

A very nice campsite, highly recommended. The sanitary facilities are brand new and superbly equipped – a dream! The ferry crossing doesn't take long, and tickets can easily be purchased from the machine at the port. I received a very friendly welcome. Spacious pitches for campervans, motorhomes, and tents, with plenty of electricity and water hookups. The small shop by the main building has a good selection, and there's a restaurant right next door. Definitely 5 stars from me.

We had a lovely stay here. Very friendly staff. Quit place, perfect to slow down and enjoy the moment. It doesn't have a pool, loud music or screaming kids. But it does have a nice cafe, a small shop, excellent, clean bathrooms. A nice playground for kids. Spatious places and good views. Good price for what you get. Aarø is a very small island with not much on it but the air and light to enjoy. You can go fishing, take a hike, enjoy the beach, visit one of the cafe's, the brewery or vineyard. No shops.

A very nice and quiet campsite for cycle campers on the small island of Aarø. We were lucky enough to use the ‘new’ tent field, secluded at the back of the campsite. We stayed 2 nights, which is enough to explore the island thoroughly. The sanitary facilities are clearly 10/10.

We had a wonderful weekend at this relaxed campsite, with plenty of space for everyone, whether you prefer sun or shade. The owner personally gave us a short introduction. The ferry crossing cost us 210 DKK for our caravan, car, and two people. The campsite itself charges 30 DKK per shower, conveniently paid with a card that also grants access to the sanitary facilities. We'll definitely be back.
