Augustenborg Garden Sønderborg

There were four of us, and we had different dishes for lunch. The food was delicious and high-quality. We just didn't like the omelet. It was a bit hard around the edges, but perhaps that's how it's supposed to be in Denmark, or rather, in Augustenborg.

Nice little cozy place with good food

We had booked a table for the event Grill and Rosé. The reception and the staff in general were very welcoming and the service was memorable. The Danish summer weather was not at its best, so we sat inside. However, that did not matter. A guitarist was arranged to provide feel-good music and he did a good job. The food was quite excellent, but a better arrangement of the grill, i.e. first fish and then meat, would have meant that the food was hot when you were going to eat it. The cold weather did not make it any better either. It should be made clear that the Rosé wine is an additional purchase. All in all, it was a really good experience and we would love to come back.

In the coziest garden surrounded by art with good service and well-prepared food, this little gem is a place I hope we will return to.

I ordered a stir-fried tartare. Which I usually really like. The meat was textureless and tasted like it had been stirred up with tomato puree. I didn't finish it. The fries were ok and the white wine I ordered was excellent. My husband's roast beef was grey and bland.
