Keep walking past all the tourist trap eating establishments in Nyhavn until you reach this authentic Bistro setting with an amazing array of vegetarian cuisine. There is a deep selection of appetizers and entrees which have apparently curated with creativity in mind. Your palette will be teased with what it thinks are meats but wonderfully created from vegetables. The location itself is perfect for a relaxing and quiet walk as you take in the neighborhood either en route to the Bistro or from there to the Metro. The indoor seating while cramped still offered privacy and intimacy. We didn't sit outside because the air was still chilly in the evening. I'm guessing that outdoor seating would be perfect during peak summer. We visited in late spring and we had the Parmesan Fries, Peanut Stew, and Rigatoni. The servings, by the way, were generous and very tasty. Unfortunately, we discovered Bistro Verde at the tail end of our stay. However, we will certainly stop in again on our next trip to Denmark.

The food was really delicious! We tried the Danish Tasting Experience, where you get three different smørrebrød. There are various main courses, and for dessert, the typical cardamom bun. All in all, everything was tasty, but it is a bit pricey, even for Copenhagen.

Absolutely delicious! We ordered and tried many different appetizers and main courses, and everything was truly delicious. The fried mushrooms as an appetizer, the steak as a main course, and of course the tiramisu for dessert are especially recommended.

We visited Bistro Verde as a family and thought it was absolutely fantastic! For starters, we had the sharing smørrebrød experience – and it completely surprised and delighted us. A real hit! For our main courses, we had burgers, club sandwiches, pasta with tomato sauce, and pasta carbonara – everything was delicious. Unfortunately, we didn't have room for dessert afterward, so we took two cinnamon rolls home for the afternoon. They were fantastic too! We especially want to commend how they handled our daughter's severe milk protein allergy. We often choose vegan options to be on the safe side. So it was wonderful that she could order anything from the menu here. The smile on her face was priceless! ❤️ Yes, the prices are on the higher end, even for Copenhagen – but the experience and our daughter's joy were worth every penny. We'll definitely be back!

fantastic vegan food, bit of a wait

One of the best vegan restaurants I’ve ever been to!! If you didn’t tell me this place was vegan I would’ve never been able to tell. The vegan mean alternatives taste so similar to the actual meats that you can barely tell the difference. The rigatoni rosso was very rich and creamy and the cheese and pesto paired so perfectly with it for an amazing creamy dish. The carbonara was a classic and very well done and the plant based bacon bits added great flavor and texture. The caesar salad plant based meat had great texture and there was plenty of sauce and cheese to make each bite the perfect bite. The sunrise spritz is unlike any other usual spritz as it has a sweeter flavor which made it a must order drink. This was also one of the most dog friendly restaurants I’ve ever been to as they had a whole wall filled with pictures of the furry friends who visited!!
