We ordered beef sandwiches, meatball sandwiches, fish and chips sandwiches, and ground meat with fries. Maybe it was because we were hungry, but all the sandwiches tasted delicious! The service staff were also quite friendly, coming to check on our order and any other service requests. We sat outside; the floor was uneven, and the tables and chairs were a bit wobbly, even with some coverings, it wasn't completely level. There were also restrooms available for guests. It was a great option for those who didn't want to eat too much in the hot weather.

If you are in Helsingør you have to go here and eat smørrebrød! Friendly staff! Nice selection! If you are a big group, book a table months in advance! Highly recommended!

08/09/2026: Værftets Madmarked has become a must-visit for us whenever we're in the region. We've been here several times and always love coming back. The selection of different street food stalls is fantastic and offers something for everyone. We've always had a delicious meal here. But what makes Madmarked so special for us is the atmosphere. The old halls are incredibly uniquely decorated – with a mix of old and antique furniture, different tables and chairs, and lots of little details. It's precisely this imperfection that gives it its special charm. It's a wonderful place to sit with good food, watch the hustle and bustle, and simply enjoy the atmosphere. For us, it's definitely one of our favorite spots in Helsingør and a clear recommendation if you're in the area. We'll definitely be back!

M/S Maritime Museum

29/08/2026: September and October are by far the most beautiful months in Helsingør. This is when the deep calm and warm coziness of autumn slowly settle over the capital, finding their way right under the skin of those of us who live in the city. * I often visit this breathtaking building M/S Museet for Søfart below the surface of the earth and I like to finish it off in the café on the dock.. but tonight the menu was on blood moon and it was a bit disappointing to look at for all of us along the coast at Kronborg Castle. However, I once took the best picture ever, and I'm still quite proud of it to this day 😀
