Café Vaffelhuset Ærø

We dropped by rather spontaneously and were glad it was still open. The food was good, and the owner really went out of his way to make us feel comfortable. Thank you so much!

Nice cafe in Marstal, friendly owner, good coffee, lots of ice cream...

Open from 10:00-22:00 all year round and such a sweetly located place in beautiful Marstal.

It is a very nice Café with quite a good choice of warm meals, open until late in the evening. Tomato soup is definitely a good choice, I strongly recommend it, it is served with selfmade bread from local flour and butter. There are many kinds ice cream, we didn't try though due to a cold weather. We were very happy to have found this nice café during our short stay on Ærø and thankful to the owner for a warm welcome and tasty warm meals. If we stayed longer we would definitely go there again, also for a coffe with tasty cakes or another snack.

The soup and homemade bread were excellent. The owner is very friendly and an interesting conversationalist. We were lucky enough to get a meal there on New Year's Eve, as everything else was closed. We wish Vaffelhuset and its owner all the best and will gladly return!
