A fascinating building with interesting and unique activities! The “skiing” is horrible. It’s like skiing on the worst icy snow imaginable. Despite that we had a good time for its novelty. Might be a fun activity for those desperate for some “skiing”. Similarly the cafe at the top could be a nice spot to sit with views of the city, but the views are the wrong way (towards the airport) and the vibes aren’t great. The climbing wall looks quite fun but the hurdles you need to jump through in order to climb there make it much less appealing. Many people were running up and down the hill while I was there. It looks like a fantastic place to do that.

We hosted an event at the CopenHill Rooftop Cafe in July 2025, and had a FANTASTIC experience! Julie was super responsive to our questions and needs and an amazing coordinator the day of the event. We were planning the event from another country, and she and the rest of the events team (shout out to Alexander!) helped us remotely for months in advance of the event. Julie had an answer for every question and always came up with great ideas and potential solutions for issues that came up the day of the event. Not only did she start setting up and preparing well in advance of the event, but she lead the whole team (catering, bar staff), resulting in a seamless event. We received SO many compliments on the venue, the food, and the overall vibe. We wholeheartedly recommend the Rooftop Cafe as a venue space and Julie as an event coordinator!

We thought this was an amazing visit for those that enjoy architecture and sustainability and also functional buildings. CopenHill has it all. The city of Copenhagen has amazing planed spaces that integrates people into unexpected activities like ski in a very flat city. The “hill” is a trash processing plant and they have build amazingly a ski slope on top of that that allows skiers and mountain birders to ride down. Pretty amazing. We visited in August and summer time so no ski happening but a few people snowboarding on the plastic slippery carpet that allows you to use the slope during summer. If you are not into that you can still climb the 80+ meter of height to have a cold beer or refreshment in the roof top bar that offers good drinks. Cold beer with a view!

Just when I thought things couldn't get more ridiculous than Ski Dubai, I found this place while randomly looking for stuff to do in Copenhagen. You literally ski on a combo of grass and plastic grass-like things. The closest I can compare it to is skiing down a solid sheet of ice - typical parallel ski turns are very difficult. As an expert skier in Colorado, I felt like a total noob on this slope. Note that you can visit the observation area on top via elevator or hike up for free, you only pay if you want to ski or get food/drinks.

It's worth a visit, although the ski slope and climbing wall are closed. Instead, there's a bar and a very pleasant observation deck. The view of the city is stunning! The fact that it's a still-functioning waste incinerator adds a special touch to the place. It's a prime example of how a theoretically non-touristy place can be transformed into a tourist attraction. The kids loved it.

The stairs are not standardized

An interesting, impressive, and well-used structure. There's a rooftop bar on the roof. The view of Copenhagen is unparalleled. Far from the city center, we reached it by bike in about 15 minutes. I absolutely recommend a visit.

Sustainable design from Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG). If you don't have much energy to walk up, take the lift to the top and walk down. On the roof, it gives you a very good view. You can smell a bit of waste, but it's acceptable. The bus stop is located directly in front of the building. If you'd like to try skiing (available also in summer), please book in advance.

Not really skiing … but also pretty fun?? Despite it being a weird experience closer to sliding down ice with the faint smell of burnt garbage in the air, I’d say it’s worth going once. The rails, boxes, and view from the top are the best part.

The best kept and largest secret in Copenhagen. The free lift to the Cafe at the top provides the best views of Copenhagen. You can also ski and climb.
