Democratic Coffee was also on our coffee tour list.
The coffee shop is very nice, especially with the library right next door.
The flat white was made to perfection, but the bean was too fruity for our taste and not the best choice for a flat white.
But even though the bean wasn’t to our liking, we can still recommend Democratic Coffee if you’re into very fruity notes.
Ordering an iced latte with oat milk was really expensive. The iced latte plus oat milk, plus the international credit card surcharge, added up to an extra 10 DKK. Aside from that, the coffee and the service were okay.
Oh my god the pastries! Awesome ham and cheese croissant. The almond croissant was literally to die for. We also tried the cardamom bun, it was delicious.
Regarding the cappuccino, it was ok.
I had the Rwanda natural and found it incredibly complex in flavor and taste. I also ended up buying the twice fermented Santa Monica beans. Would definitely try more beans. You can also get a peek of cinnamon bun BTS.
The location also in part of the main library, so can explore a few books as wells
The cardamom bun was absolutely delicious and paired perfectly with my iced Americano. It was a simple combination, but the flavors complemented each other really well. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the cafe had a lovely, relaxing atmosphere. Overall, it was a wonderful place to enjoy a coffee break, and I’d definitely come back again.
