Futten Jammerbugt

After a day trip, we ended the evening at Restaurant Futten and were completely satisfied. The food was excellent – ​​a fish platter (Stjerneskud), Wiener Schnitzel and salad with salmon, as well as plain burgers and fish and chips (Fiskefilet) for the children – and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. The waitress, from Austria, was incredibly friendly, and the restaurant was absolutely child-friendly. All in all, a perfect end to the day in a lovely, cozy, and tastefully decorated restaurant.

Last week we took advantage of the special offer: Two filet steaks with Béarnaise sauce, French fries, some vegetables, and a bottle of red wine for the equivalent of just under €100 ("Midday for 2") and were truly delighted: the meat was cooked to perfection, the vegetables crisp, the fries perfectly golden, and the service attentive and friendly. So today we wanted to order again (at the same time), but: the meat was well-done instead of medium (and arrived far too quickly) and no longer hot, the vegetables almost cold, the fries greasy, and the service (different staff) was rather superficial: "Would you perhaps like some more meat?" That was it. Strangely enough, the same thing happened to us twice last year with a different set menu! Conclusion: eating at "Futten" is an expensive gamble! Or is it a problem that the peak season has just ended?

fantastic experience with very good food and drinks. Live music gives a very special atmosphere to the food. Incredibly sweet waiters who are attentive and professional.

Good food, nice service and a cozy atmosphere. I have been there several years ago and would like to come back another time. They have a large covered area outdoors which is cozy and welcoming.

Quite ok burger but no more. Fries too salty and too deep fried.
