Hotel Marienlyst Helsingør

Ok hotel. However, there are some very fundamental things that the hotel could learn from the ESS group spa hotels in Sweden. After visiting several of these in Sweden, this hotel just doesn't live up to the standards in the same way Totally unheard of that there is no water/sparkling water, fruit, coffee and tea available for free. This is the case at all spa hotels from the ESS group we have previously visited in Sweden. A little too much noise in the different rooms, it doesn't feel like you have relaxed in the same way as when visiting other spa hotels. A little boring a la carte menu and expensive prices, two cups of coffee 122 kroner, that's just over the top. The room was fine, but sad to look out onto the parking lot, but then again you have to pay for that as it is everywhere. The staff were nice, nothing to complain about there. Next visit will probably be back in Sweden for their spa hotels. 3 stars this time 🙏

Super nice spa stay great service and food and location. However it would be nice to have window cleaning around the balconies and spa view really worth a visit For info there is a local train directly to the hotel from Helsingør

Very nice and cosy hotel in phantasic surroundings down to sea. Overview over sea from hotel rooms. Exstreamly nice and service oriented staff. Professionel service in restaurant and food on a very high level. Close to Helsingør, so easy to go for a walk through the old streets. If you are staying for more days you could easily take a train to Copenhagen or the ferry to Helsingborg. But remember to enjoy all facilities at hotel.

Overall rating 4.5. Positives: The hotel is clean and relatively well maintained. Lounge are is spacious and feels luxurious, with various activities and games. Staff were friendly. French Buffet was good. Breakfast was a key highlight. Really high variety of food and very tasty. View from restaurant is also very nice when not busy. Spa was overall good, and if you come early not too busy. Negatives: Room balcony door isolation a bit poor, with some wind and sound coming in. The interior door is also poorly isolated as we could hear chatter in the hall( even though we were last room). Parking is okay price but to be honest I would expect for free at a hotel; tired of paying all the parking companies fees. Would come again though, to try spa at a different time, maybe a different restaurant and the casino.

The only thing that doesn't work is the quality of the food. Super nice staff everywhere and a good experience...but the food doesn't match the rest at all.

My husband and I needed some pampering and relaxation. And we got that in full at Marienlyst Strandhotel. Delicious food in an excitingly decorated restaurant. Lovely warm spa and swimming pools, both outside and inside. Well-decorated stylish foyer with games and a fire in the fireplace as well as a cornucopia of breakfast buffets. Friendly service everywhere.
