In Ribe, dogs are not allowed inside most restaurants. You are then required to sit outside. Not appealing at 13 degrees, so we moved on. At this lovely restaurant, however, dogs are welcome. The first thing they did was place a bowl of water. The food at this restaurant is good at a reasonable price. Prompt and friendly service.

Great steak ! Really interesting decor. The walls are decorated with photos from Jacob Riis time in New York. The waiter was happy to take the time to tell us about who Jocob Riis was and to give us the back story on the photos.

We ate with 11 people; the food was ready quickly and very good, from burgers to pasta, we had a very good meal. Decent portions Staff also very friendly.

We ordered takeaway (the dish of the day was minced beef with salad, French fries and bearnaise sauce), which we ate in the hotel room with cutlery we brought. Overall, the food was good. The portion was very large, so you really get plenty of food. The French fries were absolutely amazing. Unfortunately, the meat was disappointing. It seemed a bit compressed and had little in common with a classic minced beef. All in all, a good experience, but the meat makes it not quite reach 5 stars.

In the middle of Ribe, with the Cathedral right outside the door, you will find Restaurant Jacob A. Riis. You feel welcome from the moment you step through the door. Fast and efficient service, a delicious menu and reasonable prices. Great atmosphere and cozy decor that is true to the building but also true to the name, Jacob A. Riis.

Really tasty food, good service and cozy premises. Definitely worth a visit, will definitely come again.
