Jacobsen - Danish Eating House Vejle

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A wonderful discovery We were looking for authentic Danish cuisine, in a casual setting and at fair prices, and we found so much more. The restaurant is elegant yet warm and welcoming, much more refined than we expected. We ate very well, with a pleasant surprise: an Italian waitress who was very helpful in explaining the dishes to us. Some dishes were ad libitum, meaning they could be reordered at no additional cost, and in fact we took advantage of this by ordering two a second time. The bacon was spectacular! But the butter-fried schnitzel was also delicious. Wide selection of beers. And most importantly: our 10-year-old son finally left a Danish restaurant happy!

The staff was incredibly friendly and, despite the large number of guests, arranged a table on the patio, very comfortable for four people. The dishes were served quite quickly. They were perfectly prepared, very tasty, and the portions were generous.

Tasty. Pricy. Qualitative. The service was a bit weird. The sauce served with salmon was pretty bland and the deserts looked uninspired as some afterthought. The beer tasting was really good. Overall it's truly worthy restaurant with traditional Danish cuisine, yet some spark and final touch are missing right now.

My friend and I went here for real Danish food! And it was. We had a very tasty meal, plus the waitress spoke good English and was very friendly.

There is a lot of noise from the open kitchen. The food is relatively tasteless, and the portions are small (Herregårds steak).

The all-you-can-eat pork belly is unbeatable. A super friendly welcome and welcoming, approachable service. Reasonable prices in a simple but cozy atmosphere.

Very average food, the burger was not very bad, but not good neither. The kind of food that makes you think how useful it was. We tried the three IPA on tap, one was weak, both the others (including the homemade brewed) were frankly bad. I don't recommend this place.

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was nice. However, the catch, which unfortunately was not announced earlier and was deliberately kept quiet, was that the all you can eat offer only allows one person to order for the price.
