Good selection of beverages and cakes. It was open super early which was nice whilst waiting for the train.

Bought a chocolate cake, iced latte and cinnamon bun from here. Service was great and staff were lovely. The food and drink tasted great apart from the fact that I found a hair in the chocolate cake. But apart from that, everything was great.

Such a lovely experience here! I had only been in Copenhagen for about three hours, and this was already the second coffee shop I visited. Interestingly, my actual experiences were almost the complete opposite of what I expected based on the Google ratings. The first café I went to had a rating of around 4.1, with quite a few reviews praising the service, but unfortunately, the service I personally experienced there was very cold and dismissive. It wasn’t the nicest first impression after just arriving in Copenhagen. Then I came here. I noticed that this place only had a rating somewhere in the 3s, and I had also seen some reviews mentioning unfriendly staff, so I honestly wasn’t expecting too much. After visiting, though, I was genuinely surprised because my experience with the staff was completely different — everyone I interacted with was incredibly friendly and welcoming. There were two girls working at the counter, and both of them were lovely. Since it was my first time here, I had a voucher but had no idea how to use it. One of the girls, who had slightly blonde/golden hair, patiently showed me exactly what to do. She was so friendly and had such a lovely smile that the whole interaction immediately felt comfortable. The other girl at the counter was also very kind, so I really want to give credit to both of them. I ordered a matcha latte, and since I’m not familiar with how “matcha latte” is pronounced here in Denmark, I didn’t immediately realise when my drink was being called out. Instead of making me feel awkward, they smiled, made eye contact, and made sure I knew when my drink was ready. The guy making the coffee was very nice as well. These might sound like very small things, but when you’ve only been in a new country for a few hours, a little patience, a smile and some genuine kindness can make a huge difference. Especially after having a rather unpleasant experience at another café shortly before, the staff here genuinely turned my mood around and gave me a much warmer first impression of Copenhagen. As for the drink itself, the matcha latte was a little too sweet for my personal taste, and it tasted quite different from the matcha lattes I’m used to having in the UK. That may simply be a difference in local recipes and preferences, though. If possible, I’d probably ask for it less sweet next time. Of course, everyone can have a different experience depending on the day, the time and the staff working, so I’m not trying to invalidate anyone else’s reviews. But based purely on my own experience today, I was genuinely surprised that this place has a rating in the 3s. The service I received was excellent. If tipping were an option, I genuinely would have left a tip today. A special thank you to the two girls at the counter and the guy making the coffee. Thank you for being so patient, kind and welcoming to someone who had only arrived in Copenhagen a few hours earlier. ☕️💚

It is always crowded, but the "take a ticket" number system works well and the staff (while understandably stressed) are very efficient and helpful. A big SHOUT OUT that they carry a delicious vegan pastry! I nearly didn't believe them because it is so yummy.

Very quick but a cold cappuccino

I am very disappointed with the service I received this morning. This review concerns the employee with dark, short, pageboy hair who served me this morning. I asked for a Christianshavnerbrød. The employee asked if I wanted Christianshavnerbrød or Christianshavnerboller. I clearly replied that I wanted Christianshavnerbrød. Yet she asked the same question again, and I repeated once more that I wanted Christianshavnerbrød. Throughout the entire process, she seemed impatient and rude. She sighed several times and spoke in a tone that made me feel like a burden rather than a customer. It seemed as if she was not listening to what I was saying. The experience was so unpleasant that I chose to leave the bread and leave the store without buying anything. Instead, I went to another bakery nearby and bought my bread there. Good customer service is not just about the products, but also about the way customers are treated. Unfortunately, this experience did not live up to the level one should expect.

Imagine this horrible scenario. You are completely limp, confused, nauseous and you just want to go home. Your train from the Central Station is not due for another 45 minutes and your mother has now called 20 times. You can't even afford a taxi. But the Lagkagehuset is open! You step into an enchanting world of delicious pastry, and you get a euphoric feeling from the fragrant pastries. Like a star in the dark sky, she stands behind the counter and serves her first customer at 5:00 AM. Her gaze: welcoming, her welcome: warming, and her cakes: flavorful. But I hesitate. Can I, a young, drunk and confused man, go up and order from the wonder I see in my mind? I gather my courage and step forward: "A brownie please". Only a few seconds pass before the square cake is in my hand. I am led on a culinary carousel of fantastic pastry and formidable service. The cake is eaten shortly after. My sorrows are gone, my mother I have forgotten, and for a short while I feel a state of Nirvana. The receipt said: "Served by Emma".

Food just ok. Service similar. Better places to have a quick breakfast.

Extremely friendly and service-minded staff, I got what I ordered with a smile and eye contact. This is not the last time I will come by your place.
