Fantastically delicious steak we got 🤩🤩🤩 probably on the expensive side, but not because it was damn good, and you have to pay for quality.😀😀

The steaks and atmosphere are definitely first class!

The last time I had such a good steak and fries was in New York, fantastic place.

Fantastic visit. The food and drinks were world class and the waiters were all super friendly and welcoming. An absolute gem.

An evening that moved us, both for the food and the people! We came as two families with two children each, and we were made to feel welcome from the very first moment. We were seated at a large round table for eight, and the atmosphere was wonderfully cosy. We were so taken with the place that I simply had to write this review straight away. The team is extremely child-friendly, and they took the time to explain every dish to us adults and answer all our questions in detail. That easy-going, unpretentious hospitality relaxed us and built real anticipation before the food even arrived. With four children in tow, things can get a bit livelier and more stressful — but here they could play in the garden while we waited. There are proper dishes for children, too: the pasta with bolognese was declared the best in the world, with the brutal honesty only children have, and no regard whatsoever for the excellent spaghetti variations they get served at home. :-) Naturally, we adults had to try the bolognese as well — genuinely refined in flavour and a real treat. The fries were fries, but exactly the way fries should be. As starters we had the gratinated snails/escargots, which reminded me of a similar experience in France years ago and were every bit as sensational, and the crispy king prawns with an excellent sauce — they really were super-crispy and faultless in flavour. The menu centres on beef and veal steaks. We all had the fillet of beef and could choose from a range of sides. The steaks are of course available in various sizes and cooked to whatever you prefer. The quality of the meat is remarkable: SASHI Beef with fine marbling, beautifully tender, with a sensational flavour of its own — and cooked exactly to the point. We've eaten in a fair number of fine-dining restaurants and tried plenty, from various cattle breeds and dry-aged cuts through to Wagyu and Kobe, but this fillet was absolutely worth the journey. We can't remember ever having a better one. The sauces we ordered on the side tasted fantastic, though we quickly realised it would almost be a shame to cover up the meat's own flavour with them. Even the salad sides were generously plated, very fresh and full of flavour. The drinks list is extensive. I can highly recommend the Gin Hass, as well as the Riesling from the Mosel. For dessert I had a homemade Snickers cake — wow, that hit the spot 100 percent. Hard to describe: just try it. The children's ice cream was excellent too — "just" ice cream, but again of very good quality in both texture and taste. And no, we're not related to the owner, nor were we asked to leave a review. The experience and the sheer contentment of those two hours moved us so much, both emotionally and culinarily, that as we walked out we immediately said: we have to leave a positive review here — to give others a wholehearted recommendation, and to say a small thank you to our lovely hosts. Being served this warmly and to this standard at this price is not something to take for granted. We also noticed how relaxed and happy the other guests were. The friendliness of the team and the freshness and quality of the produce clearly aren't accidental — they seem to be the whole concept. Yes, this restaurant — and Bornholm in general — has enchanted us a little. You can probably tell from this description, which comes straight from the heart.

Owner told us best steak in Denmark, I am inclined to agree. His confidence is kinda anti- jantelov and I'm all for it. No more review needed. Just an anecdote, searched for and found the Sashi beef in a upmarket restaurant in Copenhagen, and it didn't hold a candle to Louisekroen. 2 weeks later back in London I'm still dreaming about it.

I’ve had a real great experience and steak! Seasoned properly and grilled perfectly. Service was fun and good and I’ve had a beer from small batch brewery. We visited with our daughter of 8 yrs and it was not really the right atmosphere for her though we grownups really like the lively mood and cozy environment. If you’re in Bornholm looking for a great steak: 100% recommendation!

VERY delicious tender steaks, maybe you need a little bearnaise sauce 🤔

The steaks were wonderfully tender and just as they should be - but the accompaniments did not live up to expectations at all.

Great food and very friendly and welcoming staff. Highly recommended.
