It's an absolutely fantastic Vietnamese restaurant. It's relatively small, maybe 10-15 tables, so there's a quiet atmosphere, which is great for a dinner where you want to be able to converse over the food. The food tastes fantastic, and has a flavor that I could never achieve at home in 1000 attempts. They have a fairly large menu, for such a relatively small restaurant, but everything is 100% freshly prepared, and there are also vegetarian dishes, which I chose myself last time. Absolutely spot on every time I've been there over the past 15 years. The place is great for a date, and is very stylish and tastefully decorated, and is not at all as gauche as other Asian cuisines sometimes decorate.😜

We ordered numbers 12, 14, 16, 81 (egg rolls, papaya salad, the steamed rolls, and beef pho). Take it from a Vietnamese from the motherland: their food is authentic! This is rare to find in Copenhagen. Everything was delicious! The service was also friendly and nice. Maybe it was because of the weather, we came in a party of 5 and got a table right away, but I heard that they’re normally busy and you should make a reservation.

Small restaurant with warm atmosphere (we were sitting inside). Especially the starters were very good (just sauce of the papaya bit too sweet!). The curry was delicious but could have had more punch - it was a bit too "tame". Service was friendly.

Deluxe version of beef Wellington, a must try. As an art of the table, the dish was partitioned beside the table for the guests. -Dessert 🫐Blueberry and buckwheat ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Not too sweet it’s my highest compliment.
12/10/2025: We visited the Marchal Bar and were quite disappointed. The service was negligent and somewhat indifferent—our mint tea arrived tasting only like hot water and ginger until corrected, we had to ask for more to get what we initially ordered, our cola didn’t come the first time, the sparkling water didn’t come the first time, and when it came it was flat. On top of that, the bar food itself lacked any real taste. Overall, we expected a much better experience.

Would order again. • Flavor vs fire: 🔥🔥🔥🔥 4/5 – Complex & spicy. • Menu Honesty Check: ✅ Honest Heat – Menu warning was accurate. ~ I don't usually write reviews about takeaway food because I don't think it gives a fair picture of restaurants. But now I've ordered from Jais Madhus more than ten times, and it's been just as delicious every time. Most recently I ordered their panang curry with tofu – very spicy – ​​and wait, how good was it. Perfectly balanced, rich and flavorful, and the spice was just right in the cupboard. The tofu was delicious and took the flavor really well. The quality is consistently high, the food tastes authentic, and you can clearly feel the love and care behind the dishes. Jais Madhus is without a doubt one of my go-to places in Copenhagen when I want really good Thai food. Highly recommended!
