Restaurant Karla København

We were in Copenhagen for three days and Karla was recommended to us for its regional cuisine. Making a reservation online was easy and even possible at short notice. The atmosphere is rather rustic. The service was friendly, attentive, and efficient. The food was amazing. The roast pork with the gravy was so tender and delicious. My husband had the Wiener Schnitzel and was also incredibly impressed. We can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant and would definitely come back. The place is incredibly welcoming, and the staff were all so friendly and helpful; they treated us wonderfully. The food was delicious and, above all, plentiful. Everything was perfect!

The staff is truly friendly. The cuisine is traditional, with excellent two- or three-course menus offering a taste of the local cuisine. The dishes are almost too generous; in fact, the herrings overcook, and the roast pork was plentiful and unfortunately very stringy and dry (the rind, however, was spectacular).

We had a set menu where everything was delicious. For starters, a platter with salmon, herring with dill mayonnaise, and I can't remember what else, but it was so good I didn't even have time to take a picture. For the main course, another platter with a pork loin that was incredibly tender and the skin was crispy, served with red cabbage, pickled gherkins, a chicken salad, and Camembert cheese with grapes. Finally, for dessert, a super creamy rice pudding with a mixed berry jam. 368kr/person

As Kopenhagen has huge variety of restaurants with a high quality food we also wanted to try something local. Karla was a excellent recommendation - authentic menu, big portions, super tasty and nicely flavoured, good value for money, helpful stuff.

We had soup with bacon bits and an exceptional herring. The service was impeccable.
