Nemoland is the perfect spot to soak in the free-spirited vibe of Christiania. We spent a great chunk of the afternoon here and didn’t want to leave. The atmosphere is wonderfully relaxed and eclectic — a real mix of locals, travelers, and Christiania regulars all hanging out together, no pretension at all.
The beers were great and genuinely cheap, which is rare to find in Copenhagen these days. Outdoor seating makes it even better when the weather cooperates. If you want a real taste of Christiania’s laid-back, alternative culture rather than just walking through, sit down here for a couple of hours. Highly recommend.

I ordered the cod. They forgot to put the order in. We got a vague apology. Eventually we were served food. The cod was good. I think because it is a large restaurant it is easy to be forgotten.

We came here with friends to check out the quirky area and see one of the Trolls. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor is casual and also smoking area. We sat inside, our food was delicious, but it took along time for our dinner to arrive. We got appetizers to share and the daily special steak. They have a bar with live music, great place to people watch.

A truly beautiful and special place in Christiania! The atmosphere is relaxed and unique, the staff is friendly, and the food was delicious. The drinks were also good. We felt very comfortable here and had a wonderful time. A visit is definitely worthwhile!

Beer garden plus...
Various bars and restaurants, some of them quite upscale – which I hadn't expected in Christiania – with plenty of partially shaded beer benches where you can enjoy draft or bottled beer, wine, etc., as well as food. There's also a large stage (bands/festivals on summer weekends, free of charge). Those who prefer vegetarian and/or alcohol-free options can go a few doors down, but then they won't have a view of the stage.

A fun place to stop for a beer in Christiania. The live music was great and there were lots of picnic tables to choose from

Came here as a big boy in 1979-1980, and Nemoland is still going strong. The place has of course changed over the years, but the good atmosphere, the food and the friendly service are definitely not lacking. Always nice to stop by and think back to the old days.
