Sokkelund Cafe & Brasserie Frederiksberg

We went there after we just got married. They were so nice that they celebrated us with champagne on the house. The staff are super friendly. We had the best tenderloin and oysters.

Exclusive - in an incredibly cozy atmosphere. Everything exudes quality, care and professional service. Fast service and serving - despite an almost full house. Their Steak Tartare doesn't get much better (a bit of Dijon would have given it the final touch). August 26, 2026 TATAR, which I had been looking forward to, was unfortunately sold out. The waiter recommended reserving tartar in advance. But I got a PEBER BOEUF, which was fried medium/rare-rare exactly as requested. Best pepper sauce I've tasted to date. Crispy fries.

Lovely tasty oysters and delicious lobster pasta with cool Sancerre. Atmospheric place with good service.

Despite the Frederiksberg Criterium, there was full focus on the many lunch guests with fine service and tasty food from the extensive lunch menu. It was a pleasure to be able to combine a la carte and open sandwiches - and both were served freshly prepared and at a reasonable pace.

This is a lovely place with superb service. The food was ok. Had their tartar and it was ok, not great. Needed some spice or other flavors. Pasta was fair - lacked flavor, noodles overcooked. Andrea, our server, was wonderful. She was attentive, helpful, funny and just a joy. The ambiance here was great. Very charming place. Don't sit outside if you're not a fan of smoke. We were inundated with smoke on a continual basis.

Despite my weird instincts, I liked this place. If not for a couple of hiccups, it would be a 5* review. The service from the guy looking after us was as good as it gets. A younger lady who drifted around clearly wished she was anywhere but here. The plaice sandwich rocked. The fish perfectly crumbed and just cooked (terrific) with a credible remoulade. The caesar went over well too. The nut storm is an odd choice, especially at the expense of other traditional ingredients. But hey, it's a pricey, quality brasseie in a classy, pricey area...and a good one.

Have been coming there for 10 years and neither the service nor the food has gotten worse over time, they have maintained the high standard all these years, we love coming there, regards Bella and Thomas
