Nothing but fantastic food and hospitality, owner Mikkel delivers sublime service and sushi at a very high level! Lovely atmosphere, really good sushi probably the best we've tasted in Copenhagen, and just general good service, definitely worth the visit!

This restaurant has many interesting sushi varieties and there was a good amount of fish to rice ratio. Many sushi places have too little fish on the pieces compared to how it should be but not this place. I will definitely order here again!

I have eaten at Mikkel's at Bar'sushi on Nørrebrogade several times a week for over four years and it is simply the best sushi I have ever had. Always fresh, perfectly prepared and served with heart. Mikkel understands his guests and always goes the extra mile to deliver something truly special. He also made a private dinner for my 60th birthday for 50 guests and everyone was completely captivated by both the food and his presence. The most recent serving was for a customer VIP event at my company. Best food, best service, best person. Thank you, Mikkel & Bar'sushi's staff.

We had the pleasure of visiting Bar Sushi for my boyfriend's birthday on a Sunday. We were greeted by a fantastic waiter (Mikkel) who helped give us the best evening. He was good at guiding us to the food, good wine, and then we were allowed to taste some new things that they were experimenting with. He had a huge knowledge of the food and wine and the service was just absolutely excellent! We will definitely be back and have already recommended our friends to do the same. Checked!

03/11/2025: Will first start off by saying the food was delicious. Service however was cold and the overall ambiance was sad. If you do go ask to not be sat in the basement as it’s soulless.
01/11/2025: During my trip to Denmark, I visited Selma to try smørrebrød, something I had been wanting to try in person. *Smørrebrød is an open-faced sandwich made with buttered rye bread and topped with a variety of ingredients. I was determined to enjoy the full experience, so I ordered the course meal. Every dish was carefully and delicately prepared, and the flavor deepened with each bite. I particularly liked the smørrebrød with potatoes on top. This restaurant recommends pairing it with snaps, a distilled spirit, so I enjoyed it with wine. They also serve a variety of desserts, so if you order a course meal, it's best to go hungry.

04/01/2026: Relaxed vibe, nice decor, super delicious food. We were there in November but I still dream about their monkfish karaage.
19/11/2025: Henrik Ando took care of us throughout the entire evening and was one of the most attentive and down to earth restaurant co-owners I’ve ever met. He answered all my questions and spoke passionately about the origin of every ingredient. The fish was incredibly fresh, and I will never forget the raw squid, the fillet of fallow deer, and the fried monkfish. One of my favorite food experiences in Copenhagen, and I’ve lived here for 18 years<3.
