There are places where you can feel the ambitions from the first bite – and then there are places where they are also fulfilled. Texture is close to being both.
The evening started exactly as you would hope for in this league. The kitchen delivered with a sure hand: technically strong, well-composed and with a clear common thread through the menu. The flavors were right on target, and the ingredients were treated with respect. It is clear that the restaurant works in a field where high ambitions are not just talk.
The wine menu followed suit nicely. The pairings were well thought out and lifted the dishes without taking focus. The service was at the same time present and professional – the kind where you feel seen, but never disturbed. All in all, an experience where the whole was almost right on target, which is also something other guests highlight about the place.
But.
Then came the dessert.
And here it all fell apart.
The first serving seemed decidedly unfinished – as if the kitchen had forgotten central elements. Both pepper and syrup were missing, leaving the dish flat and unbalanced. These are not minor adjustments in this price range – these are fundamental errors.
The dessert was sent back as it should have been. The second version came… and was still not up to standard. The syrup was missing again, and as a icing on the cake, the waiter even took the accompanying donut out with him. It left an experience that felt both unfinished and a little incomprehensible.
It’s a shame. Because when the rest of the meal plays at such a high level, the contrast becomes brutal. And in fine dining, the ending is not just important – it’s crucial.
Textur delivers a strong and ambitious overall experience with high-level food and wine. But when the dessert fails so significantly – and twice – it drags down the overall impression drastically.
In addition, you are a little disappointed when an otherwise flawless service changes significantly when you point out a deficiency.

We had a truly fantastic evening, everything from the moment we walked in the front door was playing Max. The food, the decor, and not least the staff, especially our Icelandic waiter whose name I unfortunately can't remember. She made the experience completely complete, her knowledge of the food and especially the wines, surprised us very positively. We have frequented significantly more expensive restaurants in the world, also restaurants with the famous stars, and the young lady could handle them all. Very nice.

We ordered a 3 course menu, with wine and juice menu. And then we added a small appetizer with three bites and champagne.
Super delicious menu, wine and juice went really well with the dishes. The juice is homemade and tasted really good.
Our waiter seemed a bit nervous, but he became more confident the more guests came.
This is not the last time we eat there. It is super delicious and good fair prices!

Quite an excellent place, where the concept holds water. The price is absolutely reasonable in relation to what you get for the money.
The servings came at a reasonable pace, and there is a good atmosphere in the restaurant.

On a recent business trip I had one of the best meals of my life at Textur. I was solo, always a little awkward, but the staff were welcoming and kind, and the atmosphere was cozy.
I was absolutely blown away by the non-alcoholic pairings. As a non-drinker I'm so accustomed to just having sparkling water with my meals - the opportunity to have a well-considered non-alcoholic options was such a treat. The horseradish-infused lemonade with the fish was especially well-executed.
I had the 3-course menu + the snacks. The food was fabulous; very affordable given the extreme quality, and delicious. Staff were very knowledgeable about what they were serving and had no trouble at all translating ingredients and methods into English.
A wonderful meal, which I'll remember for a long time.
