Ved Kajen København

We found it very cozy there – since we were in Nyhavn on a rainy day, we sat inside. The service was quick and very friendly. The food (for us, smørrebrød and a herring platter) was also good. Of course, it wasn't exactly cheap, but hey – it's Nyhavn. I wouldn't say it's a tourist trap.

Avoid the Lobster soup and everything would be fine

We ordered two lunch plates and one Bacon Cheese Burger. They were both very delicious and flavorful. The portions were medium or I would rather say closer to small. Our waiter was very kind and helpful. The prices are objectively low for Denmark. The atmosphere can’t get better as this restaurant is located in Nyhavn - the prettiest street in Copenhagen. Would recommend 5/5

Quite a nice place to have lunch

Scampi, steak as the main course, and crème brûlée. Everything was better than expected. Although it's right on Nyhavn, the quality was perfect despite the many tourists.

Decent breakfast, but the service was not that good and they forgot a couple of things that were supposed to be included in the breakfast. It was also very expensive to eat here. I guess it comes with the area, but still.

We can't quite understand the many negative reviews. Yes, the restaurant currently only has 3.4 stars, but we were pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious, the portions were perfectly adequate for us, and the drinks were excellent. However, it's worth keeping in mind that dining out in Denmark is generally much more expensive than in Germany. Anyone expecting German prices and very large portions might be disappointed – but that's not the restaurant's fault. We particularly enjoyed the beautiful view and the friendly service from the young, brown-haired waitress, who was very attentive, warm, and courteous. In contrast, the waiter in the black suit seemed a bit out of place and was unfortunately much less attentive. Overall, we still had a very nice evening and would come back.

We enjoyed nice beers 🍻, the calamari & guacamole and delicious Irish coffee for dessert. Everything was good and the service by Susmita was efficient and friendly. Right next to the canal under a blue sky and a sunny day: couldn't ask for a better experience 😉

We stopped for 2 beers but also had the calamari and corn chips with guacamole and 2 "Irish Coffees". Not cheap but a pleasant place to watch the world go by.

The place is nice but the food is very touristy
