15/07/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ 4/5 stars Café Kignæs is a place I like to return to when I want to get the dish of the day. It is a great pleasure to know that you can count on tasty food, fresh ingredients and a quality that is stable from time to time. It gives a sense of security that is worth appreciating. One of the things that really characterizes Café Kignæs is the focus on good ingredients. The food tastes fresh, the vegetables have bite, the meat is well prepared, and you can feel that work is put into delivering a proper meal. It is honest, tasty everyday food that works really well when you want an easy and delicious alternative to standing in the kitchen yourself. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and you are always greeted with a smile. It helps to make the experience positive, and you feel welcome, regardless of whether you take food home or eat on site. If I had to make a few constructive wishes, the portions could be a little larger. The food tastes so good that you could often eat a little more, and a slightly more generous portion size would make an already good experience even better. I would also like a little more variety on the menu. The dish of the day is always tasty, but sometimes it seems like the same dishes are repeated week after week. It could be exciting with more seasonal dishes, new taste experiences or theme weeks, so there was even more to look forward to. Having said that, these are small wishes for a place that already does a lot of things well. The quality is high, the ingredients are fresh, the food is made with care, and the service is good. That is far more important than having a huge menu. All in all, Café Kignæs is a place that I can highly recommend. If you are looking for tasty everyday food made from fresh ingredients and served with good service, then it is definitely worth a visit. With slightly larger portions and a little more variety on the menu, the experience would be top notch in my opinion. A strong recommendation and 4 out of 5 well-deserved stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

31/08/2026: Found this small, quiet and very cozy eatery, a place that you might overlook if you don't know it's there. So 'Regnbuen', which is located about opposite Harald Nyborg in Frederikssund, can definitely be recommended. Have now been there a handful of times, and have not left hungry or disappointed.

08/08/2026: Nice lunch. For the first time we tried ordering at the table, we don't usually do that. But the waiters were very welcoming and smiling. They often came by and asked if everything was as it should be. And that was it, tasty and delicious.

27/05/2026: The food was good and the service was ok but it annoys me immensely that the staff only speaks English. When they get a job in Denmark the minimum requirement should be that they can speak Danish!

29/06/2026: I lived in the city 5 years ago and used to eat at this place often. Today I passed by and stopped for a Pita Kebab and it was just as good as I remembered.

12/04/2026: Traditional grill bar. They make some really good fries. Friendly staff. There is an adjoining room with tables and chairs so you can sit and eat on site.

18/07/2026: I'm not usually the type to write reviews, but I have to write this. I would definitely recommend people not to spend their money here. The quality of the food did not meet expectations at all. I ordered a potato pizza, but the potatoes were cut into very thick slices, where you normally expect thin slices on a potato pizza. I also ordered garlic bread, but got a garlic pizza. The garlic was not spread out on the pizza, but just in lumps, which was not very appetizing. Overall, it was a really bad experience, and unfortunately it was a waste of money.

15/07/2026: I rarely write critical reviews, but I think this experience is worth sharing in a factual and constructive way. Unfortunately, my visit to Bagergården in Frederikssund did not live up to my expectations. I find that the prices are on the high end, and when you pay a high price, I also expect an experience where both service and information are top-notch. What worried me most was the handling of allergens. I did not experience that there was the necessary security or clarity regarding allergy information. For people with food allergies, it is crucial that the staff can provide reliable guidance about ingredients and any risk of cross-contamination. This is an area where I believe there is a need for improvement. This review is not written to talk down the place, but with a hope that it will be taken as constructive feedback. There is certainly room for improvement, especially when it comes to information about allergens and the overall customer experience. I would not rule out visiting Bagergården again. If the experience is better next time, I would also like to change my rating. I sincerely hope that the things I experienced are worked on, because the potential is definitely there.

25/06/2026: You can barely see the raisins in raisin buns. I bought one for my daughter and she was disappointed to find only ONE raisin in the bun. Same goes for the chocolate buns. They put a teaspoon of sugar on top to mask the lack of chocolate in the buns. Buy them from Meny. The chocolate and raisin buns look and taste just right, and at half the price

20/08/2026: Writing ⭐ 1 star – disappointing dining experience We went down to eat and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. We ordered chicken with fries, but there was no salad. The plate seemed very dry and not very inviting. We also ordered a baked potato with salad. What we were served was diced potatoes mixed into the salad – in our opinion, it has little to do with a baked potato. The interior of the restaurant itself is otherwise really nice, but the large room felt very empty, and there was no soft music to create a cozy atmosphere. If the food and atmosphere had been on par with the beautiful interior, it could have been a really good experience. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend the place and will not be back. ⭐ 1 star

09/08/2026: Pizza & Burgerhouse is an older establishment. In 2026 it moved from the roundabout to the square. This has provided more parking spaces and easier access. Service and quality are excellent.

26/06/2026: I am against the fact that now larger chains can step on people who don't have much money, for example they go in and lock 1250 kr on your account if you have to refuel and pay with your card. This means that you have to have over 1250 kr in the account before you can be allowed to refuel. And this trend is spreading to the other companies. And you can no longer just refuel and go in and pay, no now you have to guess and pay what you think you will refuel for in advance, then you can enter a code and pay. I then asked what if I guess wrong and there can't be the whole amount, he didn't show that to the guy at the cash register. Where is the service and the trust in the customers, the way they have changed it, they label all customers as criminals.

16/07/2026: I've been coming here for years, and they've never let me down. If consistency is the key to a great restaurant, these guys have mastered it. The food is always fresh, delicious, and served quickly. The location is also incredibly convenient if you're traveling by train, making it an easy stop for a great meal. Highly recommended if you're looking for reliable, tasty shawarma every time.

15/07/2026: Jacob Durum Bar at Frederikssund Station is a place I return to again and again. The kebab is juicy, flavorful and made with good ingredients, and the chili has just the right amount of strength, which gives an extra boost without overpowering the flavor. The pita breads are large, fresh and well-filled, so you'll be really full. The food is always tasty, and the quality is impressively consistent. Highly recommended if you're looking for a delicious durum or pita! 🌯🔥

20/08/2026: I don't know if it was the standard or if the kitchen was having a bad day.. I ordered two sandwiches - a fish fillet with remoulade and a shrimp (egg and shrimp). Nothing to be mistaken about, as I even repeated that I wanted the shrimp dish. My sister ordered a salmon and a fish fillet with remoulade. When the food arrived, we immediately got an apology that there were problems in the kitchen, and the order might not have been correct… my sister then got her salmon, but a fish fillet with mayonnaise and shrimp - she accepted it, as she luckily likes it. I put mine down, and I immediately said that mine was wrong - fish fillet was correct, but the other was a roast beef, which I don't like, and so I said that I would like the correct food... 2 minutes later she comes back with the same plate - the kitchen wouldn't change it... I get confused, and say that it's not what I ordered.. the message is that they can't offer me the food I ordered or anything else, since the kitchen and the other staff couldn't agree - however, I could get my money back if I didn't want the food. I choose to get my money back, as I could at least get out and buy something else to eat, since I was still hungry. When I was finished and my sister was starting her other food, we were offered a bottle of rosé instead of the money back. I stuck to the money back - again still hungry, not thirsty. The service from the front was nice, but I've never tried anything like it and I won't be back... The food itself was okay, but the fish fillet, which was good, was on top of some wet iceberg leaves and wasn't anything to shout about...

It's the kind of place where you quickly feel like more than just a number in the queue. Orders are taken quickly, the food is hot and the quality is impressively consistent.
