02/04/2026: Opinion from 3 people: It wasn't good, the pizza and dorom sauce was tasteless. The pizza dough felt like bread, not even pizza. When I say sauce was tasteless, I don't even mean salt or pepper, pure yogurt. Not enough cheese on the pizza. The pizza fell apart in a second. Dorom felt like salad, meat and sauce had no taste and no extra flavor at all, for example pickled cucumbers. Or else the salad was just cabbage. We simply ordered pizza, deep salad 2 and dorom, we just tasted bread, cabbage, tasteless meat and sauce. Opinion of 3 people: wasn't good, pizza and dorom sauce was tasteless. Dough of pizza was feeling like bread not even pizza. When I say sauce was tasteless it means not even salt or pepper, pure yugart. Not enough cheese on pizza Pizza was falling apart in a second. Dorom was feeling like salad rap, meat and sauce wasn't having taste and no additional flavor at all, for example, Pickel. Or else. Salad was just cabbage. Simply we ordered pizza deep salad 2 and dorom, we just taste bread cabbage tasteless meat and sauce.

16/01/2026: The food is Oki there. But the temperature in the restaurant is low. Very low. We sat and froze. Changed tables to see if that helped. Asked if they could turn up the heat. The friendly employee didn't dare to mess with it. So it wasn't a pleasure at all.

10/01/2026: Unfortunately, it was not a very good experience. We sat for about 30 minutes before our order was taken, even after I had gone up to ask. When we arrived, we were told that the staff would come down to the table and take the order. The food was served at intervals of about 10 minutes. The pizzas came first, and then it took another 10 minutes before the schnitzel and burger were served. It was a shame that the food did not come at the same time, and the burger was also not hot when it was served. The restaurant had also made a post on Facebook that you get a free soda for the rest of the year. We were questioned by the staff twice, even after we had pointed out the post. Only after repeated dialogue was the offer accepted, and here it was also made very clear that it was a small soda. All in all, it was unfortunately not a successful first experience at Botan.

12/10/2025: Pleasure of a service you get when you order, I have never experienced anything as unprofessional as this, claiming that they have called to deliver my food, NO call, claiming that they have placed the food outside my home, neither happened. When you call the restaurant there is absolutely no help to be had, completely unacceptable. Hope you improve!

03/09/2025: If you enjoy sitting by the harbor and appreciate authentic Danish fish dishes, this is the place for you. Self-service (very efficiently organized), very friendly staff with excellent English skills. The price-performance ratio is decent by Danish standards: 400 kroner for two people.

02/09/2025: It was OK, but nothing more. We've had better fish restaurants in Denmark. I can't say whether the restaurants next door would have been any better.

23/09/2025: Long wait in the drive-in. Despite only 2 cars. Ordered a Big Tasty. It didn't look like the one advertised at all.

28/08/2025: NEVER AGAIN!!! I order Kentucky Chicken as take away 360 g 141kr yeah okay food is better for free but then you pack like that once… I mince words….. 2 dry chickens from some assorted supermarket and overturned salad and soft fries that I hadn’t had enough of and then served in a pizza tray for a UFO pizza I even checked your website first regarding the chicken and sure enough it says breaded chicken fillet…. Yes that’s good

01/05/2026: There is probably nothing about the place that can ruin a fantastic view over Mariager Fjord. It is just 5-star. There is also a large, bright and airy restaurant. Toilet conditions are smelly and below standard. The wait staff needs to practice a little more, and it is a bit sad when the buffet dishes are empty while the guests wait.

05/08/2025: Nice young people in the restaurant and kitchen are fine. Rooms are ok and it is clean. We had booked 4 nights and after 2 the weather was bad, so we stayed at the hotel to have lunch and then go out. We couldn't get that despite it clearly stating it is possible on the hotel's website.! They didn't have time due to a party of 100 people in the evening. We could walk into town (in pouring rain and with poor walking). Another comment that they were baking bread, but my expression resulted in "I can go out and ask", but we gave up and checked out on Monday instead of Wednesday. We paid for the entire stay with all expenses, because that is what we had booked. The hotel should consider whether they will put resources in place to suit, or either run a hotel or only parties. We have now been to Hotel Søparken 3 times... first, only and last.

13/05/2026: Great leisure activity for a family! We rented a pedal boat (2 adults, 2 kids) and had a cosy trip upstream on the Voers A. Even the kids were able to pedal since there’s was just a gentle flow. For safety reasons of course there are life vests for free. Very friendly personal and drinks, ice and foods are available at the rental station. You can rent canoes, too. Excellent value for money. We‘ll come back for sure.

02/05/2026: I'm a guest here, and I booked a room. Today I bought some food outside and wanted them to heat it up for me, but they refused, which made me very upset.

26/12/2025: You line up at the entrance… Then you are told you have a jacket on (in December) and that you have to take it off first… Then you line up in line no. 2… Then you pay 75,- to have your jacket stored 💸 Then you line up again in the first line… Then the doorman tells you that it is full… Then you wait even longer… After 20 minutes at the door you get in… Then you line up in line no. 3 - now to the bar… Then you get to the bar… Then you wait for a bartender… Then you order your drinks… Then you see the bartender go over and take other orders… Then you see the bartender make their drinks… Then the bartender comes back… Then someone from the group tries… Then you see the bartender go over and take other orders again… Then you see the bartender make the other people’s drinks once more… Now you think: I don't bother anymore!… Then you go out and stand in line no. 4… Then you get your jacket and then you go somewhere else 🤬

22/12/2025: I had an extremely frustrating experience after a visit where I bought a bottle of champagne for 1,300 kr. The amount was charged twice on my card within a few minutes of each other. Since then, I have repeatedly tried to contact the place via email to have the error clarified, but have not received any kind of response. No explanation, no apology, no solution. It gives a very unprofessional impression when you: • charge money twice • do not respond to inquiries • and leave the customer alone with the problem I have therefore had to involve my bank to have the matter handled, which should never be necessary with such an obvious error. Can not recommend the place in any way – neither in terms of service, responsibility nor customer handling.

05/11/2025: Had ordered brunch, was promised at 10:30. It turned out that the cafe opened. We were the only guests for the first hour. They had obviously forgotten the reservation, ½ hour wait before some of the food and tea/coffee/juice were served. Further wait for Greek yogurt (scrambled eggs and sausage tasted great) after 1½ hours we gave up, we never got our pancake and there was no discount, even though you hadn't had the whole menu.

02/11/2025: When choosing takeaway, WeMeat has always been a safe choice in the family. We have always been very satisfied with WeMeat and the quality of their burgers. BUT today we were surprised… A lettuce bath, a slice of tomato, two onion rings and two pickled cucumber slices were what could be achieved in each burger - see the attached picture. At the same time, it has always been good, probably homemade and juicy beef steaks, today it was what we assume, ready-made and VERY dry beef steaks, where the roast crust tasted burnt. Previous good reviews are not on par with what is served now. Rather raise the price than lower the quality. We will buy from elsewhere next time and hope that the strategy changes, because then we will happily come back! It was really good before, but the burgers are really bad now. This review is not meant badly, but we would like to ensure that the damn good burger place is also there in the future.
