Engeln has been one of my favorite cafés in the Latin Quarter of Aarhus since the 1980s. Countless are the times I have eaten one of their fish dishes and then walked around the corner to Øst for paradis to see a movie.

06/06/2026: Good clean rooms. Expensive parking. Food menu not a great choice. Expensive. But very good quality.
12/04/2026: A beautifully situated hotel. Most rooms have sea views, which is definitely worthwhile if the weather is good. The interior is a bit dated, but it has everything you need. You can easily walk into town; it takes about 15 minutes to reach the center.

15/05/2026: Sweet and friendly service. Good selection of cold beer on tap. Definitely a place to swing by, either for a single beer or a couple of hours in good company 😀
03/02/2026: Music too loud to talk to. It ruins the atmosphere, so you'd rather go somewhere else.
