Dirty Urban Ranch Herning

I'm sitting in Copenhagen preparing a drive to Messecenter Herning, and see an advertisement on Facebook for a restaurant with good steaks. I thought that this is where the food should be eaten after a day at the fair When I arrive, a large group is getting off a tourist bus and when you look in through the windows the place looks pretty full. This can be a good sign that a restaurant attracts many guests. I come in and the waiters are buzzing around to serve the guests and I only waited a short time despite the busyness and was seated at a bar. They apologized that they had no other seats and greeted me with a free beer or water. I ordered a menu recommended by the waiters and a tapas starter. Here I got onion rings, cheese balls, chicken strips and cheese gratin nachos with bbq dip as a starter and a 200 gram tenderloin (medium rare) with rustic fries and whiskey sauce. The starter was almost enough for 2 people and you could really taste it was good quality products. The nachos were completely standard and if there was a minus, there could have been a little guacamole with it too so it was easier to eat chips. The main course offered standard sized fries and a well-cooked steak. It was fried to perfection and the meat was super tender. On the steak was a baked carrot 🥕. It would have been appropriate with a few more vegetables, maybe a little salad. The service is great and the waiters are very attentive to the guest's well-being and satisfaction. Huge praise from here and high recommendation.

The food is absolutely delicious. Every plate feels thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. What truly makes the experience stand out is the staff. The waiters are not only helpful but also cheerful, always attentive and friendly, which adds an extra layer of warmth to the visit. I got a seat without a reservation. The ribeye steak I ordered was perfectly medium, as requested, and was very good and tasty. The side dishes were well-seasoned. All in all, a very enjoyable and successful evening with extremely friendly and dedicated service staff, whom I would also like to express my appreciation to. This steakhouse is highly recommended.

It's a more expensive themed version of Jensens Bøfhus - it's still there, there's a nice atmosphere, classic rock, good beers and OK food, and for the right evening it's great. I had their premium rib-eye, but it tasted surprisingly little. I don't think they get love with butter, garlic and rosemary or anything, so it becomes a bit neutral, even with the option of garlic butter. It was OK otherwise, but with some inedible sneezes, for which one of the attentive waiters (they did a really good job even though it was busy) gave us a free drink each. I had a baked potato that tasted reheated and was somewhat indifferent. Their "fake bearnaise" turned out to have its name because it's something they just heat up. I think it's one of those restaurants that doesn't have a dedicated chef, and all the food is kept very simple after that. It's in no way a dining experience where some elements have been prepared that require something from the kitchen and add something to the dish. It's not cheap. You can get 3 courses at several of the city's good restaurants for the same price as a steak here, where the ingredients in the dish are kept to an absolute minimum.
