Always worth a visit! Super delicious cakes and breads. My favorites are the nøddesnitte (a type of flatbread), the hearty bread, and the gulerodsboller (a type of sweet roll). The cakes are really rich 😋 Next time I'd like to try the café; so far I've only ordered takeout.

There is always something lala about Guldbageren in Tønder. The dining room is boring — apart from the historical pictures from Tønder, which could be upgraded with some short texts — cramped and crowded. The service is sluggish and uninspired, and it seems understaffed both in sales, but especially in the dining room, where used tableware is allowed to sit for a very long time. The bread is quite good, the breakfast buffet is just about okay, but a selection of coffee and milk would suit the place.

So many delicious things! I bought small cakes and a dark whole-wheat bread. The little cakes were incredibly good! And the bread was very tasty!

02/08/2026: It was beautifully designed and perfectly captured the retro theme. As retro lovers and fans, we were very pleased. The outdoor area was very cozy and inviting. Top-notch!

16/08/2026: My first thought: I'm in cake heaven! I've never seen a café that presents its cakes and pastries so beautifully. And the best part: they don't just look good, they taste amazing too! You order and pay at the counter. You get a number, and your order is then brought to your table. There are tables on the terraces in front of and behind the cozy thatched-roof house. You can also sit inside. Unfortunately, we only discovered later that there's a second floor with even more seating. All sorts of antiques and secondhand goods invite you to browse.
15/08/2026: Friendly staff and really great cakes. Even shortly before closing, there was still a wide selection.
