01/09/2026: Thank you so much for this wonderful stay with you 🫶 We stayed two nights with three campervans at this campsite. Electricity, showers, and toilets were available and spotlessly clean. We also booked the breakfast and dinner offered there, and we can only say... it was absolutely fantastic 🔨🔨🔨!!!! So much love and care went into everything, from the decor in the dining room to the grounds. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart!!!! I hope I can make it back to this wonderful place from Carinthia sometime.

28/08/2026: We were guests at Merethe's on August 19, 2026, and we will never forget that day. We were there in our campervan and booked a delicious dinner and breakfast. But it wasn't just a meal; it was an experience. Guests and hosts all sat together. It didn't matter what nationality you were, especially since the hostess seemed to speak every language. Merethe, Kristin, and their lovely family create an incredible sense of comfort. Dogs are also welcome. Thank you so much for the unforgettable evening!

06/09/2026: We treated ourselves to ice cream, as we do every year. Two scoops with chocolate sauce cost about 7 euros. Although, to be fair, one scoop here in the café would cost about three scoops in Germany 😅 so the price is really okay.

05/09/2026: A must-visit every time we're on the island! Besides the delicious iced coffee, they also offer fantastic hot dishes. Everything is served in generous portions and is absolutely tasty. We've never been disappointed here. We even received a free cup of hot water to warm up baby food. The staff are incredibly friendly and almost all of them speak German, which, while not a deciding factor, is especially helpful for tourists with limited English skills. Of course, it's more expensive than in Germany, as is typical for Denmark, but that's just something you have to expect on vacation. There are indoor and outdoor play areas for little ones, and plenty of high chairs are available. It's also worth mentioning that the ice cream cones are homemade. Soooo delicious!

27/07/2026: We only ordered coffee. We were greeted very warmly, asked immediately for sugar and milk, and the coffee tasted great (chocolate with it is simply delicious). The young, attractive woman spoke Danish to us, and we spoke German... BUT we had a pleasant conversation and understood each other with hand gestures. Next time we come back to Rømø, we'll have lunch there. Their menu is really appealing!

24/07/2026: Good food, friendly staff, order arrived quickly, which was especially helpful with children.

16/08/2026: My first thought: I'm in cake heaven! I've never seen a café that presents its cakes and pastries so beautifully. And the best part: they don't just look good, they taste amazing too! You order and pay at the counter. You get a number, and your order is then brought to your table. There are tables on the terraces in front of and behind the cozy thatched-roof house. You can also sit inside. Unfortunately, we only discovered later that there's a second floor with even more seating. All sorts of antiques and secondhand goods invite you to browse.

15/08/2026: Friendly staff and really great cakes. Even shortly before closing, there was still a wide selection.

03/09/2026: I saw that the cakes were 3 for 54kr or 1 for 22 and thought that was a good deal (only reason I took 3 pieces). I saw on my receipt that I paid 84kr for 3 slices. I hate to make a scene and usually just let it slide but paying 30kr extra was a bit ridiculous so I kindly wanted to ask about it. The lady told me that eating at the cafe costs 6kr extra for each peace you have. It apparently says at the counter but only in danish and I don’t speak danish so I find it a bit rude of them to not let me know. But that still doesn’t add up 54+18 kr is 72 so why did I pay 84kr? Because if you want to eat in you don’t get the deal (it doesn’t say that anywhere). So she charged me 28kr a peace instead of giving me the 3 for 54. That is just ridiculous. It says nowhere that I have to pay 28kr a peace instead of getting the deal that they put up in front of the cakes. I’m still confused to why I have to pay 6kr a peace just for sitting in when they just piled all the cakes onto one small little plate. Don’t get me wrong. The food is really good and it a cozy cafe but the price is ridiculous.

30/08/2026: There aren't many bakeries on the island. This one is a real highlight: a very good selection of bread and rolls, all delicious and crispy. The staff are very friendly and helpful; my clumsy attempts to order in Danish were easily forgiven with friendly replies in German. I really like this bakery; it enhances our holiday experience!

15/08/2026: Lovely experience and great food. After we had stopped by to see a troll, we dropped by the hotel. I had a tasty hunter's pan, and the wife had nachos. Delicious food, generous portions, friendly service and a cozy atmosphere – definitely worth a visit.

25/10/2025: A relatively inexpensive restaurant. The service is friendly and attentive. However, you should be fluent in English, as only the chef speaks German. The food, especially the pizzas, has always been very tasty. The only downside is the ambiance: it's just a pizzeria, nothing special. When the weather's nice, you can sit outside.
