This was our second time there. The food is delicious, but the prices are outrageous. I got two small slices of bread and two very small meatballs and a nasty side dish for €10. My son's build-your-own burger had a kind of meatball that was too small for the bun. Another burger I ordered was okay, but for over €20, the side of fries was a real joke. The "Shooting Star" we ordered for over €20 is a fish sandwich with sauce.
The staff, however, are very friendly and speak German and English.

The food was boring and did not meet expectations. We had a bagel with salmon, where the bagel itself was dry and falling apart. The salad was brown and the salmon was very oily.
The service was really good, however.

A cozy terrace in Tønder where, after a short walk, we ordered a drink and some snacks.
Very friendly staff, who were also very helpful in English.
Good coffee, delicious pastries, and a good price for what you get.
Unfortunately, there were quite a few wasps, which made it a bit less enjoyable, but the staff/café can't do anything about that.

We made a quick stop at Klostercaféen in Tønder, located on one of the town’s squares — an old but incredibly charming and cozy place. Luckily, the weather was on our side, so when the opportunity came to sit outside and enjoy a late lunch on a beautiful summer day, we had to take it.
Klostercaféen is definitely worth a visit. That said, it was quite busy during lunchtime, and the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed. It took a while before we got our drinks — they actually arrived together with the food. That could certainly be improved, but as mentioned, the staff had their hands full.
I had a delicious Stjerneskud (a Danish fish dish) served on toasted bread, while my son went for the tasty Tønder Klosterburger with 200 grams of beef and fries.
The only downside was that the fries came with just a very small portion of mayonnaise.

The food was good – a classic Danish menu. Compared to other restaurants, there was even more vegetarian selection than I've usually had on vacation.
The service was very friendly and the ambiance was nice.

Super nette Bedienung. Wir haben draußen unser Mittagessen genießen können. Die Burger waren sehr lecker und schön präsentiert. Bei unserem nächsten Besuch in Tondern kommen wir sehr gerne wieder!

På vores tur i Sønderjylland fandt vi denne hyggeluge cafe. Det er så hyggeligt og hjemligt at få serveret cacao med æblekage til m/creme fraiche. Vi hygger os i et gammelt kloster med stil.
