Restaurant Marsvinet looks like a wonderful place to enjoy authentic Danish home-style cooking. The menu features an appealing selection of fresh fish and seafood, classic smørrebrød, warm smoked salmon and the popular Stjerneskud with fried and steamed fish, smoked salmon, asparagus and prawns. Traditional dishes such as Wiener schnitzel and pan-fried plaice also sound delicious. The focus on local ingredients and honest homemade food gives the restaurant a warm and authentic character, making it a lovely choice for a relaxed Danish meal.

We docked in the harbor and stumbled upon this restaurant. The food was outstanding, fine dining. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and the outdoor seating area offers a beautiful view of the harbor. Addendum: I don't know what's happened, or if the chef is different this year (2026). The fish was extremely dry. The high-quality cuisine wasn't present during our visit.

Really great food, the weather was perfect to sit outdoors, looking at the Marina in Middelfart. The employees was great and friendly.

We came on a Sunday evening at 7pm and got a table outside, which was great. The waiter came quickly with a menu card but we waited a very long time before we were allowed to order. We ordered lamb tenderloin with ratatouille. But I doubt very much that the chef knows what ratatouille is. The rest of the dish was delicious. But you shouldn't call a couple of raw tomatoes and half a raw onion ratatouille. Practice. When we had finished eating, it was a very long time before a waiter came and asked if we wanted more. At that point we didn't want to be there anymore. They could have made a lot more money by being more attentive to us customers. But the waiters are probably not trained waiters. Delicious food but too much waiting time. In a half-empty restaurant.

It was wonderful. We had booked in advance. The food, the service, the friendliness – everything was perfect. I don't usually write reviews, but everything here was just right.

Yesterday we had the summer menu delivered to our house. Absolutely fantastic and tasty food, which we would like to recommend. All our guests were extremely satisfied. Thanks to the chef and staff for the good service. Summer greetings Erik and Karen

Very nice location, good and cozy service. We had the catch of the day, which was a turbot, which was nicely cooked. All in all, a good experience.

We had a lovely baptism party with 21 people. The food was good. It was possible to have your own room with your own buffet for the party. Beautiful location with a view of the marina. Friendly and service-minded staff.
