08/06/2026: My 10-year-old son and I were spending our last night in Denmark before flying back home to the US. We picked Hindsgaul because we wanted to stay somewhere a little different, and the castle setting felt like the perfect fairytale ending to our trip. The hotel was beautiful, located in the nice quiet area with a lot of deer walking around. Since we didn’t have much time there, the actual reason why I am writing this review is amazing Maria at reception. After overhearing some guests talking about ghosts, my son got himself pretty worked up and couldn’t fall asleep. We ended up wandering down to the lobby, where Maria was working that night. She was so kind and took the time to chat with him and reassure him that there was nothing to be scared of. She even suggested warm sweet milk, saying that would help him to feel less anxious, it was so sweet of her. My son had never tried that before, but he happily gave it a shot. And somehow it worked! He slept like a baby Then the next morning our taxi didn’t show up. We needed to leave around 5am to catch a train to the airport, and I was starting to panic a little. Maria quickly realized we weren’t going to make it if we waited for another taxi, grabbed the car keys, and drove us to the station herself. Good that the station was close, that’s another big plus to add for the location of the hotel Because of Maria, we made our train, made our flight, and got home with no problems! We’ve stayed in a lot of hotels over the years, and it’s rare to meet someone who goes so far out of their way to help guests. We were only there for one night, but Maria made the maximum to help us feel completely at home and taken care of. So I am sending a huge THANKS to Maria, and Hindsgavl Castle for ending our Denmark trip on such a great note❤️ Will definitely recommend the place to others and hopefully one day I will get a chance to come back and spend a bit more time there 😊

10/09/2026: Møllers Fiskehus is a fantastic destination for anyone who loves fresh, flavorful seafood. The fish dishes are beautifully prepared, with the Fish & Chips offering a wonderfully crispy coating and satisfying flavor. The Stjerneskud, featuring fried fish fillets, smoked salmon, shrimp, asparagus, and caviar, is an especially tempting choice. Their homemade fish cakes and smoked fish add even more variety. With fresh ingredients, traditional craftsmanship, and excellent attention to quality, Møllers Fiskehus delivers a memorable seafood experience that is well worth enjoying.

18/08/2026: This Thai place is really worth a visit. We enjoyed a starter and a main course here. It was more than enough and the taste was very good. The service was also extremely friendly and certainly not pushy. All in all, a very good choice to eat here. Oh yes, it looks a bit bare inside, but don't hesitate. Just go! It is clean and simply a good restaurant.

12/08/2026: Pretty good sushi for the price, fun to see the robots deliver the food to you table. And also very nice the whole ordering individuel items on a tablet, makes it very easy and fun to order. Several Japanese drinks on menu aswell. Can recommend

09/08/2026: Some dishes were more flavorful than others, but otherwise I am very satisfied, had a delicious meal, and the food was served quite quickly by the robot after confirmation.

05/08/2026: Their drive through doesn't really work, had eye contact with the staff several times without them even saying they were on their way or anything. When I finally got in touch with a young girl she was extremely rude and not service minded.

16/08/2026: We were stopping by in Denmark a night on our way to Sweden and decided to eat at Papa. Best decision ever. The food is really delicious and waiters are nice. It was like eating home while on vacation. I had lasagne and my husband had saltimbocca, both dishes were tasteful and perfectly cooked. Many reviews mention that you have to pay for water but this is common at restaurants in Italy so I guess that is why they charge for it. Anyway the water tasted fresh and not metallic so it didn't seem to be common tap water. Finally, I recommend Papa if you want real food and you happen to be or travel in this area.

29/05/2026: Good and cozy bakery, they sell real crafts, and the clerks are sweet and kind, it's a good shop that has many delicious things, including liver pâté from the local butcher, my compliments from here!

19/08/2026: Amazing hot dog, great location with lots of parking. Staff super friendly and helpful and can easily accommodate speaking English. Definitely be returning as I've added them to my map favourites. Coffee is all you can drink too... and apparently they don't mind campervan stay at the rear of the carpark? Also lots of outdoor seating.
