19/12/2025: Juhls Spisehus has really good service. The staff is some of the best – always friendly, welcoming and professional. The owner is incredibly sweet, polite and makes you feel very welcome. A really lovely experience, highly recommended.

18/12/2025: I won't comment much on the food. What makes me unable to recommend the place is what I've been told by several waiters: The owner supposedly keeps the tips even though they are given to the staff. I personally tip the waiter who has provided the service, with the expectation that he keeps them himself - not in the owner's pocket. In addition, according to the same sources, bad reviews are used to review who was working that day, rather than taking the criticism constructively. This creates an unsafe working environment, where the waiters are held accountable in an unreasonable way. I don't really care about the food, it's probably good. But on principle I can't support a place with that culture, at the same time making others aware of this.

21/11/2025: Cozy, warm and close. Little games make something special. Made the atmosphere better and broke the ice between us. Can only recommend the place - for the small group that just needs coffee and the warmth again.

24/07/2025: I loved this spot!! I will dream about their blood orange drink. The meal (a salad) was flavorful and colorful! Both qualities that I always appreciate in food. The gals working, were working hard and were lovely! I enjoyed the location and orientation of tables outward towards the courtyard! This was a nice reprieve during an unusually hot afternoon!

12/04/2026: A fantastic concept! A welcoming and open atmosphere for all guests; we felt right at home. The vegan dishes are delicious! The ice cream and chips are especially recommended. The volunteers are wonderful. There are plenty of games available to borrow. The pub quiz on Fridays is in English and highly recommended.

09/06/2026: We were really looking forward to the afternoon tea, but at over €50 it's simply too expensive 🫰. For two people, the tea was very weak. One tea bag was used in this huge pot, and even after steeping for 15 minutes, the taste didn't improve. It was just a lot of water for a small amount of tea. It looks nice, but it's simply not worth the price. We can't recommend it. You're better off going to a proper café for coffee or tea and ordering something extra there. Or ordering a nice breakfast. This was a real disappointment, at least for us.

12/05/2026: Fantastic food, tastes so good. A little on the expensive side but definitely something you should try again every now and then. They are really nice and you can feel that they are committed to the food they make and you can taste it too.

22/06/2026: Very dated hotel, not very well maintained or cleaned., with no air conditioning, so your only source of fresh air is opening a window. Rooms are noisy, as windows are quite dated. I do understand that hat this is a historic building, and that one may want to maintain its originality but I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels located inside heritage and historical buildings, which managed to keep the original feel but at the same time bring it up to today’s minimum hospitality standards and cleanliness. Hiding behind the statement that this is a preserved historical building, is not an excuse. Would definitely consider other hotels in the area during my next stay. This one has failed miserably in even preserving the history of the building.

19/06/2026: This breakfast was unbelievable. The room is nice enough. No handicap ramps have to carry your luggage up the steps and down steps all over. The hotel looks like it acquired 2 other properties so it could expand. No refrigerator but they allow you to keep things in one at the front desk. Clean and neat. Parking is a mess they don’t have any so hopefully you caught the train or ride a bike here. If you have a car you have to park down the street. Not in either of the parking garages they don’t have any agreements. Other than parking lovely and located right in the heart of the dinning area.
