13/08/2026: Super delicious food experience for 3 guests. The dishes are few to choose from, but on the other hand really delicious (and preferably a few delicious dishes rather than many mediocre ones) - so next time I have chosen what to try 😋. Because we will definitely be back... Attentive, professional and sweet service by the female waiters. Great work 👍. Rarely experienced better 🥳. We had to address a small aber dabei with a main course (insignificant detail for the experience), which immediately triggered an apology from the waiter for compensation for ordering more. But just a detail - which the waiter encouraged us to use. We got free coffee, which more than made up for a small insignificant detail 😊. Best recommendations 🙏

08/08/2026: The sandwiches are generous and high quality. The fries are crispy and perfectly salted. The service is incredibly efficient. I came with a group of young people. There were 22 of us, and we were given a few free trays of fries. There are a few tables outside where you can enjoy your sandwich while listening to street musicians. A great experience in Aarhus.

17/08/2026: Great service, accommodated our requests and very nice and professional all around. The bread roll was delicious and so were the overnight oats, and the chai latte was very good as well. Cozy atmosphere with calming, laid-back music and an old-fashioned feel. Would recommend!

28/07/2026: Now I have to delete my old review, stop, how sad has it become to be here and eat.. Cold food, once an upset stomach with vomiting not long after we had eaten, what could be eaten. Got 2 potions from the fried food department. Dull and empty to look at, the sushi has become poor and dry and yo-yo, some choice is still preserved, but it has to be washed down with liquid, it was so dry. And yes, we got a 20% discount after the service boys explained that no one besides them spoke Danish ... So we had to go back in because they just push the buffet in without responding to the kid under 12 standing next to him.. but it's like it's all just running on an assembly line now. And their fish and aquarium. It's certainly dirty and disgusting. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures. But it was no. 3 chance, there won't be another one from here, it's a shame when you want to support local. There was a bit of dirt all over the place.

08/08/2025: The service is not always great, but the cakes are amazing. It's sad to pay 60kr for an iced coffee that she then forgets to put syrup in, especially when syrup costs extra. Wouldn't have bought the coffee if it wasn't for the syrup, so that's 60kr out the window! :/

16/08/2026: Postgården Øl & Vinstue at Skolegade 19 is one of the places in Hjørring where you can still experience the classic Danish pub culture. It is not a modern cocktail bar or café, but a traditional and very local pub with its own history and atmosphere. The place has been at this address for many years. The Historical Archive of Hjørring has, among other things, pictures of Postgården Øl & Vinstue from 1986, and there is material from the address even further back, when the place functioned as Restaurant Postgården. This gives the place a historical dimension that many newer bars naturally do not have. Postgården is primarily a place where people come for the social aspect. Here it is all about having a beer, meeting other people, talking and enjoying the traditional pub atmosphere. Reviews from guests often highlight the cozy atmosphere, friendly people and the feeling of a real local place. The decor is traditional and old-fashioned in a very deliberate pub way. There are various beer-related decorations and posters, and the place has retained much of the look that you associate with a classic Danish bodega. That is part of its charm and identity. There is also a cozy courtyard environment, which several guests highlight. It gives the place another dimension, especially when the weather is good and you want to sit a little more secluded from the street. You should be aware that Postgården is first and foremost a tavern and not an ordinary eatery. Food is not usually served like in a restaurant. On the other hand, special activities and parties are arranged, where there is sometimes food. There has been, among other things, a summer party with a whole roast suckling pig. There is also a community around “Postens Venner”, which arranges various activities. There have been, among other things, parties and bus trips, which speaks very well that Postgården is not only about the room itself, but also about the social community around the place. The opening hours are unusually long. It opens as early as 7:00 am every day of the week. Monday to Wednesday and Sunday it is open until midnight, Thursday until 2:00 am and Friday and Saturday until 3:00 am. This means that Postgården functions both as a pub during the day and as part of Hjørring's nightlife later in the week. You should also be aware that smoking inside is mentioned by several visitors. For some it is part of the traditional bodega experience, while for others it can of course be a disadvantage. In my opinion, Postgården is interesting because the place does not try to follow every modern trend. It sticks to the traditional pub culture, where people, conversations and community are more important than modern decor and fancy drinks. All in all, a very authentic and local pub with lots of history and personality. If you want to experience a part of the old pub culture in Hjørring, have a beer and meet local people in informal surroundings, Postgården Øl & Vinstue is a place that definitely has its own place in the city.

04/04/2026: Åben Århus is one of those places you always come back to. The atmosphere is relaxed, the beer is top-notch, and there is a genuine geeky love for good craftsmanship. The selection changes constantly, and you almost always discover something new and exciting on tap. 🍻 It also says something that Lucas Ørskov has practically made the place his second home. He reportedly drinks many jugs in there – and it's not without reason. Lucas brews his own beer and has even won silver at the Danish Home Brewing Championship, so when he approves of the level, you know the quality is high. 🍺🥈 A small practical note at the end: Remember to bring your own mug. It's part of the charm – and then you're ready for another good round.
