While online the establishment is located on one road (Roskilde road; 'Roskildevej'), on the street sign near the hotel there is another road name (Main road; 'Hovedvejen'). Guests had better check with the local government in case of emergency, underwriting, etc. Thanks 🛫💐 March 2026 Thanks God, for you give shelter to the needy! Random hoodlums, possibly urchins were found loitering the corridors near my room....traffic on Roskilde Road was blaring until around 04 AM. There is no locker facility for storage of belongings such as clothes spectacles, etc in the gents sauna. Furthermore, the oven casing is old and the paint on it is peeling off! George the kind receptionist was unable to inform the guest that bottles were not allowed in the sauna. A garbage bag was thrown unattended near the entrance on the inside. A liter of milk was lying abandoned on the front desk counter, a little away from where the receptionists had their set up. Some guests were unabashedly spitting sitting outside the entrance, waiting for a shuttle bus or the similar. We will also like hazelnut milk for breakfast. On the bright side, it was feasible to order home delivery food; the 'Do not disturb' sign was duly and kindly respected the same. 09/04/2026: A little hassle with the price at check-out, but the smiling staff figured it out with me.

29/08/2025: Street food market. The food tasted good. A bit annoying that the stalls have to stand and advise the customers when the order is ready for pick-up. There must be a smarter system with screens or buzzers on the tables.

12/05/2026: Fantastic food. Today's dish Tuesday to Thursday, which can be seen on Café Sct. Knud's Facebook. Their open sandwiches are truly in a class of their own. Everyone is welcome and you don't have to play golf.

29/12/2025: A few years ago I wanted to have a nice dinner there in their premises. I drove there and was given a tour by an older woman. She didn't seem super excited about me as a customer and even said when I had questions: “It's only a 20th birthday after all”. I was upset when I was ready with a lot of money and wanted to have a nice dinner. My mother had worked closely with Dyrehøj during her time as owner of Strandhotel Røsnæs and my family has donated a lot of money to Røsnæs through their foundation, Bent O. Jørgensens Fond. So it surprised me to receive such poor service when I had only heard good things about the place from my family. The birthday party was not held there for good reasons. Because I simply didn't feel welcome. I've thought about it sometimes since then and hope that it's different now and that they will now remember that regardless of age, appearance, etc. you don't know which customer you're dealing with. Because even though I was 20, I could afford a nice sophisticated dinner and wanted it out there because I appreciate the wine. But besides that, I have had other visits to Dyrehøj that were nice and they also have good wine. Another feedback I would also like to give is some more complete aesthetic framework in relation to the premises. The chairs she showed me were classic community center chairs and there were other details that (in my taste) could be better. But all in all a nice place.

11/04/2026: We were a party of 11 who got "our own" room. Really cozy and with really good food and drinks. Good explanations about what we were going to enjoy. Definitely worth a visit!

22/03/2026: New - and long! - duvets. Recently restored (within a few years). Then a ramp from sidewalk level up to a raised room that was apparently a party room. Where we were, there were (many) stairs.

18/09/2025: Always cozy, the best pub in town

18/08/2025: Freddy's Bar is definitely a top highlight of the city. It's a classic pub, simply honest and demanding nothing of itself other than to be a pub. They have a variety of beers on tap, the staff is hearty, as befits a good pub, and incredibly friendly. Anyone who insults the waitress gets a good telling off, as is only right. The prices are great. I'd give it 7/5 if I could. Go there.

24/11/2025: Except from the staff who look like Korean and Swedish mix, everything is good here. Service is very fast, Staffs are very friendly and always have great music come from here. By the way, The korean-Swedish man is my enemy 😊😊.

22/12/2025: Nice atmosphere and freshly prepared dishes that tasted excellent! 2 people shared a large Japanese beer, and it was perfect. The sake was nice and warm as it should be! Fun with chopsticks and satiety in a comfortable way! Warning - we'll be back soon ;)

16/12/2025: Very delicious running sushi bar. We celebrated an event there and everything was nice, fresh and tasty. I highly recommend this sushi restaurant.

09/05/2026: I visited with a friend and we both had pizzas. The restaurant is located in an old building on Vestergade and has a very cozy atmosphere with visible wooden beams in the ceiling. While the initial room near the street seems small, the place is surprisingly spacious with plenty of seating further back. The pizzas were good, and we enjoyed them with some good red wine. The staff was friendly, the service was fast, and the booking process was effortless. It’s a good choice for pizza, and I plan to return to try some of their other dishes in the future.

04/04/2026: Delicious food and really good service. We were a party of 10 and had ordered the food in advance. Starters were served as delegates. Everything worked flawlessly, and we had a really good experience in a cozy setting and with delicious Italian food.
