30/06/2026: It was quite hot/humid up on the 1st floor under the large window. There were 4 fans, but they couldn't quite keep up with making the air much better.

30/06/2026: I'm usually pretty happy with the food and service in your Rødovre branch. I've used it often. But yesterday afternoon - June 29th - I had a really boring experience. I ordered a ham & cheese sandwich, and clearly asked for it to be WITHOUT cucumber and tomato. When I got home and unwrapped my sandwich, it consisted solely of dry bread - AND cucumber and tomato - the two ingredients that I did NOT want in it, and nothing else. It was a sad "ham & cheese" sandwich :( And I paid 69 kroner for that. Ouch!

29/08/2026: Mixed food reviews, lots of sauces (you have to like them). Very slow by Southern European standards. Expensive, you're paying for the location and atmosphere.

16/08/2026: Had the Croque Monsieur which was super boring and meh. Kid had the kids burger which he enjoyed ok.

20/08/2026: It all seems a bit tired, bowling lanes fumble more than the players do and you have to look for the staff for a long time if you need help. Of course there are not many guests on a Wednesday night so even the buffet was tired of waiting.

19/07/2026: There was a shortage of size 43 shoes for bowling and you can't order from the table before the game starts and why can't you just start on a lane when it's unused.

08/07/2026: Sunday 05-07-2026. 30th Wedding Anniversary, which was celebrated with style. beautiful 500g T-bone steak and tenderloin approx. 300 g. Starter dessert, and the salad. MUMMS it was fantastic. And a little cognac was also made. There was care for the details. All in all a delicious experience. The service was top notch, waiter Mie was very professional and sweet. KH Lis and Allan.

02/04/2026: Incredibly delicious place. Bearnaise sauce you get addicted to, it is really top class. Got a fantastic 300g tenderloin, cooked medium and absolutely perfect. The wine list for single glasses is a bit skimpy though. Nice and delicious salad bar, with a good selection. The service was fine, even though some waiters were a bit "green" they did a good job. The premises are super cozy and it is very nice to be. Thank you for a good evening, we will be back again soon and give you our best recommendations.

18/09/2025: Boring bread, both rye bread and regular bread. Always end up at Lagkagehuset to get a sourdough bread - but would rather be able to buy one at Kirstens and support the little ones. Delicious cakes 👌🏻🍓 A cake man for a child's birthday is a must. Really nice and a good price. Why does it smell so strange in there?

03/08/2025: Friendly waiter welcomed us. 2 small “free” appetizers were served. Chicken souffle in delicious dressing, sashimi with sorbet. Haps haps! Then began a fantastic journey through a 7 course menu. Just the smell of each dish that was served was amazing. The appearance was a pure delight. The taste was so adapted that you could taste all the ingredients in the dish - the salt and pepper were not necessary. Great to know this art - to adapt to everyone's taste buds. Because it is an art! So 5 ⭐️ from us and clearly to you out there. Have a Bacchus and enjoy it, just enjoy it!

02/08/2025: Lovely evening in good company. The male waiter was however very busy changing our dishes a little too quickly. He was not present and not very hospitable. The young man who presented our dishes was to U.G Before we had even finished, the male waiter came with our bill, and we had to point out that we were not finished, and had not ordered payment. That service is not okay when you pay almost 3,000 kr for an evening. We were there on August 2, 2025 The food was absolutely fantastic.

17/10/2025: 08.10.2025 My girlfriend and me who come from England were stopping overnight in Tønder at the nearby Motel near the main train station for 1 night having travelled from Hamburg, and we were heading to Copenhagen the next day. So I had already reserved a table for dinner at this wonderful little boutique hotel. When we arrived the 3 young ladies working kindly welcomed us and all spoke very good English as we cannot speak Danish. We were early for the booking and they did offer for us to be seated immediately which was nice of them, but we insisted on having a pre-drink in their nice bar. I had a Steak Tartare while my girlfriend ate a Pork Cheek dish. Then for dessert I chose the Lemon Mousse while the Cheese & Biscuit platter was also chosen. All dishes were beautifully presented on their plates and were very flavoursome. Yes this may cost a little more than most average priced restaurants, but we got good quality for our money at least. Which is why I highly recommend this place for all kinds of guests, even travelling tourists like we were on the above date when we actually visited. And if I had more money on me I probably could've chosen to stay here, but the Motel suited me on this occasion because of our needs to use the local trains for our travels.

29/09/2025: We are so happy to visit Hostrups Hotel that we have been here in all seasons and enjoyed it every time. A very welcoming welcome means a lot to us - we get it. We have stayed in rooms in the main building and side wing and have been extremely satisfied: quiet and comfortable decor and really good beds. The food is always innovative, looks inviting and is tasty. A walk around the streets of Tønder and a visit to a nearby small German town are part of our stay, after which it is nice to come 'home' to Hostrups Hotel and rest our legs before dinner and a drink.

06/04/2026: Great job. Nice that no matter if you are the only ones for breakfast, the selection is exactly the same as if there were 20 for breakfast. Looking forward to our next visit 🤗🤗

07/06/2026: Held a 70th birthday, it was a lovely evening.

18/06/2025: We had booked a table for 6:30 PM today to celebrate a birthday, but unfortunately the evening did not go as expected at all – at least not in our opinion. We arrived about 5 minutes early and stood waiting for a table, which we did for almost 20 minutes. After the 20 minutes, we decided to go out into the courtyard, as we had booked a table outside. Here we waited another 25 minutes before a waiter had time to come with 4 menus. We figured out what we wanted to eat and drink, and waited another 15 minutes before a waiter could take our order. After about 15 minutes, the waiter came with drinks, which had become so warm that the beer was lukewarm and the ice cubes in the glass had melted. The waiter asked if anyone wanted water with their food, and one person said yes, but 4 waters were still added to the bill. The food was ok, but overall it wasn't what we expected for the prices on the menu. I will add, however, that the young people who served us were nice, and it seemed like they were doing their best to keep up.

14/02/2026: There's nothing better than when simple food tastes amazing. And here even a pizza slice is just empingao! 😍 We'll be back!

25/07/2026: 2nd time we order from there. First time I got a pizza with bacon, ended up throwing it out. The pizza was soft the bacon was unfinished. 2 years later we gave it another chance, ordered 2 pizzas and a fries. The pizzas were soft and pasta-like, fries tough and boring. Oops oops oops Pizzas were dripping with grease and were soft and disgusting again we threw them out.
