07/09/2025: A long overdue review for a place that left Lasting Impression of Danish Cuisine. Even after years have passed, my memory of dining at Almanak in Copenhagen is as vivid as ever. My culinary journey through Northern Europe led me to this stunning restaurant, and I was immediately struck by its elegant design and well-thought-out decor. From the meticulous table settings to the beautifully curated menu, every detail was perfect. The service was impeccable and a true highlight of the evening. The staff's ability to not only deliver each dish but also to passionately explain its preparation and ingredients added a layer of depth to the experience. Their positive energy and knowledge made the meal even more memorable. I opted for the three-course menu, which was a masterpiece of Danish flavours. The salt and sugar cured pike perch with beans and rapeseed oil was fresh and delicate. The main course, organic chicken with brown butter, carrot and elderflower, was a comforting and sophisticated dish. The dessert—black currant, salt caramel malt, and tarragon—was so incredible that it seemed to disappear the moment it was placed in front of me. The food was absolutely delicious, and I still commend the chefs for their masterful presentation of classic Danish cuisine. Even tho I missed a visit on my current trip, I am eagerly looking forward to returning to Almanak in the coming months, confident that the quality and integrity of their food remain just as exceptional as I remember.

30/08/2025: We had ordered an early bird for the price, the food was fine. There is only a wine list, it would have been helpful to have a list of other drinks as well, so the waiter has to try to remember which beers or sodas they have. If you manage to get in, you can. If you come outside the opera's opening hours, it is almost impossible to find your way in. All doors are locked, there is only a sign for a cafe that was closed. You have to call the restaurant so that an employee can come down and pick you up. It would save everyone time and resources if it was communicated that you had to call and where you had to stand to get in. The view is nice from the restaurant, but better from the balcony.

20/10/2025: Unfortunately a disappointing experience. Unfortunately you don't get what you pay for (300 kr per person for ad libitum) in either sushi (rice in sushi was overcooked) or atmosphere.

19/10/2025: WATAMI VANLØSE Extremely bad experience and the worst service I have experienced in a long time. Not a restaurant I will ever go back to, even though it has been a favorite in the past. The bad service started on the phone when I called and asked for a table for six or seven people and was told that it was fine and that we could get a table that could seat seven people. Then I called to say that we would be a little late and was told that there was only one table available for six people and that that was what I had reserved. I then explained to them that I had called earlier and was told something different, after which I got a response “that’s all we have anyway” with a very flippant tone. When we arrived at the restaurant, we explained to them that we had a guest who was not going to eat with us because she doesn’t like sushi at all and had just had her teeth extracted. We are then told (by the same person) that they cannot agree to that and that we will all have to order a la carte, just because one of us is not eating. We had come to eat ad libitum and there are guests all the way from Sweden, so we cannot leave a guest alone, I tried to explain. I also suggest that she can sit on a chair a little separated, but this is also rejected with a very nasty attitude. The employee was far from accommodating and understanding of our situation, and did not try to find a solution at all, which resulted in a very bad experience for our guests, who had been looking forward to eating at the restaurant.

07/09/2025: Super delicious burgers and fries Edit 2025: This review applies to the previous owner. There are various dishes and only one burger to choose from. We opted for the burger. The difference couldn't be greater. There's still a lot of room for improvement – ​​both in terms of taste and appearance. Perhaps the new team is still finding its feet!?

25/07/2025: Unfortunately, I have experienced the worst service ever, and it is not just a one-off incident – it is repeated every time I visit the place. Based on this, I will no longer prefer this place as my limit for acceptable treatment has been exceeded.

28/04/2025: A very dead place, staff who were not service-minded. Had no overview of orders in general. We waited for the food for 35 minutes, a sandwich that did not meet expectations, flat and bland and missing ingredients according to what was supposed to be in it from the menu.

19/12/2025: It's so cold because the door keeps opening. It's a real draft and ruins the whole experience. Get a grip on that door!!!!!

26/09/2025: We visited twice during our stay at the hotel across the street and liked it here! The toastie egg and cheese sandwiches are a decent breakfast, and their orange juice was delicious. Coffee was good, nothing special. Staff was friendly and helpful, and the seating was nice!

21/08/2025: The food was delicious, however, when ordering the tasting menu the portion sizes are small and the delivery of the meals are like molasses in the winter time, slow. There was a 234 Dkk credit card fee as well

10/08/2025: Fantastic place! Fine high-end dining surrounded by exceptional and cozy atmosphere. Both the food and the service are amazing, focusing on the very and every detail. Highly recommend!

21/05/2026: 10 min ago, I entered the Kolumbia restaurant in Glostrup and asked the staff if I can order 1 pizza for takeaway - she said it is too late (8min before closing time). I acknowledge that they had 8 min to closing time (considering there were customers who were still dining in). Before I exited the restaurant, I said politely that I understand the situation, but they should know that they lose customers that way. The lady responded - “Yes, Yes. I know” And that’s the actual reason why I decided to write this review.

25/04/2026: Came into the restaurant, ordered what we were supposed to have. They got my name and it would be about 20 minutes. We sat down and waited. After 30 minutes I went up and asked if the food would be ready soon. It had been ready for 15 minutes. Cool, why didn't they say anything? so we got cold food. I doubt we'll get food from there again. The food tasted okay now even though it was cold.

10/08/2025: Completely from scratch. Probably the best in town. Helpful, clean and fast service. Recommend to anyone driving by in Vejen. Absolutely fantastic and made from scratch. All the vegetables and meat were great.

13/08/2025: A very nice and not costly place to eat.

28/07/2025: Card payments are a bit difficult, so it's best to bring cash. Staff also speaks English. The food was good.

20/04/2026: Got some fried pork that was dry and burnt, overcooked potatoes and tasteless gravy. It was a busy day, so I understand it's not easy to make everything perfect, but it was a boring meal🙄

22/01/2026: Ordered takeaway Wienerschnitzel for 3 people. It smelled bad already in the car. We had to throw the food out. Tasted like the schnitzels were fried in old rancid butter. Called immediately and complained - we were absolutely not interested in getting a new order. We will never get food from there again.

30/04/2026: So nice sushi. They have really great offers. 10% off on online orders and also winter/spring/summer/autumn specials.

27/03/2026: Ordered from kongelundsvej, the sushi was nice and ordered extra when I picked up as they cooked quickly. But the two noodle dishes we ordered were really small and there were a total of 3 pieces of meat in one portion - it's way too expensive at 109 kr for such a small portion with 3 pieces of meat in it.

17/12/2025: We have bought food there several times, and the food has been ok for the price. The service, on the other hand, is absolutely terrible. The website is down, so we have gone up to them 3 times to order. The two times they did not accept more orders - it would have been great if it was on the website... The 3rd time they would not accept our order up there, as they only accepted orders online... Today we tried to order online at 17.10 - we could then order for tomorrow...
