22/07/2026: Can't recommend this place at all sorry. I ordered some take away and the man who was cooking the food started talking to me in Turkish. He didn't know I didn't know the language not a place I can recommend they talk to the customers in a bad way and the food was 1 out of 10

25/05/2026: WARNING Very unsatisfactory experience. I bought a durum for 77 kr. with chicken and feta. There was definitely no pampering. The bread had hardly been baked, there was hardly anything else in it but chicken and iceberg lettuce, and then a completely excessive amount of dressing in it. A wet and shabby experience, will never have from there again!

16/08/2026: My initial impression was that it was more of a fast-food joint, so I was quite surprised by the prices. However, that impression quickly changed when the food arrived. The portions were very generous and the quality was excellent. We had the beef sandwich and the fish, and we couldn't stop enjoying our meals. Highly recommended.

13/08/2026: Very atmospheric! Menu is quite restricted, but they serve fast and with a smile. The sauce with my stjerneskud was really nice; the fish was happy for a bit of extra salt. To be honest, prices are not low, but then again, you're in a wonderful open air museum, in Denmark, so what would you expect?

06/09/2026: I have never seen a McDonald's so dirty, poor employee who didn't even know what to do.

24/08/2026: After a tour of the entire Aarhus street food scene, my first choice was the "Duck You" burger from Duck It, along with a portion of duck-fat fries and a spicy dip. The burger consisted of confit duck, pickled red cabbage, a house sauce, and a fluffy brioche bun. In fact, the burger was a bit underwhelming and surprisingly bland. The duck was okay, but already somewhat dried out and not as juicy as one would expect from confit duck. Despite being pickled, the red cabbage definitely lacked punch and, above all, acidity. It wasn't bad by any means, but I had expected a much stronger flavor explosion overall. So, for me, the burger unfortunately landed in the average range. The fries, on the other hand, were top-notch. The type of fat used for frying really makes a difference, and you could taste it immediately. They were also perfectly salted and beautifully crispy. The accompanying spicy dip, however, was unfortunately just spicy, lacking any truly complex flavor profile. A bit of a shame.

08/05/2026: The location is super convenient, close to the train station, and about a 10-minute walk to Andersen-related attractions. The room is clean and comfortable, and there's a Lidl supermarket and many restaurants nearby. The staff were all incredibly warm and polite ❤️ There's a free coffee machine in the lobby, and afternoon tea is also available 🥹

30/04/2026: First the employees are so nice and very helpful. But the hotel is so old, rooms so tight, even blackout did not cover the entire window and from sides of window the outside light directly in my eyes when I wanted to sleep, and early daylight. Walls so thin everyone walk in hallways we could hear at night and caused us wake up several times. Definitely not kids friendly. We went with our 9months old baby and definitely not good idea. Not any ramp for stroller/pram, to get to hotel we had to lift it, and hallways and elevator are so narrow and small. However hotel not recommended, but as I mentioned employees were so sweet. And location was really good.

21/08/2026: Old pizza one was fantastic and always ready and smiling and good service 😁 new pizza one not so much 😳 almost no service and it was fifteen minutes before we were asked if we had ordered when a new man walked in the door 😶 food without taste and cold 🫩 it's going to be a no thanks from here.....

22/07/2026: The best food one can eat with satisfaction can be found in Pizza One .i was there today and ordered this frenchfries with chicken wings, that was exquisite.

30/07/2026: Ordered with extra cheese and it was delivered without and they were burnt on the edges. Will never order from there again

05/09/2026: The view of the harbor is very nice. But the cappuccino is absolutely not recommended!!

18/08/2026: We ordered two coffees to go. We stopped because the building and the surrounding area appealed to us. Unfortunately, it's a case of "all show and no substance." The cappuccino and the café crema tasted identical and absolutely disgusting.

24/07/2026: Had a generally disappointing experience all around: The cake menu consisted of soft biscuits and dry cake. The cocoa milk had lumps in it. The children's area is a claw machine and a pile of old and broken toys (think dolls with missing legs, cars without wheels, etc.) Very loud/bad acoustics. On the other hand, the description of the food was entertaining: "Beef in strong" :) I don't think you'll get sick from eating here, but it's like there's a lack of love for the details.

25/08/2026: two people working, one attending and not even saying a Word when u do your order. you are supposed to figure It out how their service is. once I asked some doubts, I just receive attitude from the other person working that is not even attending customers, she giving attitude at the same time she is giving me her back. a nice attitude towards customers would be nice, as I experienced in other lagkagehuset :)))))

06/08/2026: I had booked a table for my birthday at 7:45 PM with the expectation of being able to take advantage of Dhaba's 2-hour ad libitum concept (confirmed upon booking). Unfortunately, the evening became an incredibly stressful and disappointing experience from the moment we walked in the door. Service and time: Upon arrival at 7:45 PM, we were told that the restaurant closes at 9:00 PM and the kitchen closes at 8:30 PM. So we have less than an hour to assess, order and eat our food – far from the 2 hours the concept suggests. We inform the staff that we are two people with different preferences (one vegetarian and one meat eater). Yet we are greeted by a rule that we are initially only allowed to choose 6 dishes in total. With less than half an hour until the kitchen closes, we have to drastically cut down on both starters and main courses for two people. The food arrives quickly (8:00 PM), but we now have only 15 minutes to eat and decide whether we need more. When we order the next round at 8:27 PM (again limited to 6 dishes), we ask for extra rice. This is denied as the kitchen closes at 8:30 PM, and we are told that they were already unhappy that we placed a "large" order just before closing time - an order that their own time constraints forced us into. We get our second round of food at 8:45 PM. By then, the mood is so tense that I ask if I can take the rest to-go to eat outside, but this is denied (which is fair enough for ad libitum, but a shame under the circumstances). The last employee graciously lets us finish eating until he finishes his closing routine, and we leave at 9:06 PM - still without the extra portion of rice we requested. The food: Unfortunately, the food was very inconsistent. Indian cuisine is known for its fantastic vegetarian selection, but the vegetarian dishes here were unfortunately flat. The chicken dishes generally lacked seasoning – the Tikka Masala tasted mostly of ordinary tomato sauce, and the Biryani was quite wet. Their Butter Chicken was really good, however, and both the prawns and Pani Puri were super delicious. Conclusion: When you let guests book a table at 7:45 PM for a 2-hour concept, you must either keep the kitchen open after that or inform them about the real framework when booking. It should not be the guest's responsibility to stress through a birthday meal in less than an hour. The few bright spots in the food could not at all compensate for the poor planning and lack of service. Unfortunately, this will be the first and last time for us.

22/07/2026: It took 52 minutes before we got our food. We had to get the staff's attention several times. Parts of the order were forgotten and served in the wrong order. The staff's excuse was stress and busyness, despite the fact that there were only 1/4 of the seats occupied and several had received their food. Extremely disappointing!

08/03/2026: We were four people - and had been looking forward to a good experience! It wasn't. There is no reasonable relationship between price and quality - not to mention quantity. ONLY visit Dauphine if you are NOT hungry. In particular, the main course was smaller than expected or a child's portion. with COLD small pieces of Jerusalem artichokes. The squash course tasted bad - to my taste. The dessert tasted good - but the lentil base was poor and probably bought in a supermarket. Dear Dauphine: I don't think you can be familiar with it. Not at all harmony between price, quantity and quality. Regretted we had driven almost 200 km - to visit you regards. peder kirkeby

21/02/2026: Had read the good reviews and chose Dauphine for our trip out to the Aarhus food scene in connection with Dining Week. Unfortunately, the evening was characterized by the need to rush through, and that the chosen menu should be easy to reheat and serve. The starter was not balanced - large temperature differences between the cold and the hot on the plate, the main ingredient, a "salmon terrine" of some kind, had not been out of the fridge long enough. The main course was unacceptably small, but otherwise tasty. The dessert was quite ok. But again, the feeling that it was just a matter of serving pre-cooked food prepared for the hordes permeated the experience. Unfortunately, the service was not good either. We were received by a man who was clearly not used to being in the restaurant (kitchen?), he barely said hello, did not point out a wardrobe in the somewhat narrow space, was not present and was in a hurry to move on, could not advise on a simple level regarding the choice of wine, "it was a white wine", no one ever asked if it tasted good or if it was satisfactory, no one came and asked if the drinks needed to be refilled, a woman suddenly came and cleared the table and reached over us without a single expression, no words, no one said what was going to happen next (pre-ordered 3-course menu). We approached the serious draft from the window facing the street, where we were sitting right up and down. The winter weather was really taking hold, but we asked nicely if it was possible to get another table, because it was raw cold for the legs to sit up against a leaky window at full height. It was swept away pretty quickly without making an impression. I don't usually write reviews, and am usually pretty generous as long as people make an effort and/or are nice and friendly, and the food is reasonable, but the whole experience just wasn't good and we couldn't finish fast enough. We won't be coming here again, although a regular a la carte evening is probably a different experience.
