21/08/2026: It's a fantastic place and lots of activities for children and young at heart.

21/08/2026: A nice little museum village with Viking-era replicas, easily manageable even for younger children. However, anyone expecting a proper museum with an exhibition of original Viking-era artifacts will be disappointed. For children, there are activities (for an extra charge) such as baking flatbread, archery, and crafting leather bracelets and pouches. To get a glimpse of Viking-era dwellings, stables, a blacksmith's shop, a mill, a church, and boats, I definitely found it worth a visit.

07/09/2026: A few weeks ago, I went there for lunch, and I was lucky enough to be looked after by a fantastic woman named Marta Alcántara. I noticed that she was managing both the restaurant and the bar at the same time, and despite being so busy, her service was excellent. She was friendly, attentive, and very professional. Definitely a 10/10 experience!

29/08/2026: We visited Issei last night and had the set menu with the accompanying wine pairing. The highlight of the evening was definitely the tiradito, which was alright. Unfortunately, the main course was disappointing. The striploin was significantly overcooked and, in most parts, well-done. More concerning was the handling of my dietary restriction. I specifically informed our waiter that I have an intolerance and asked whether any of the dishes contained cucumber. I was assured that they did not. However, the side served with the main course contained a significant amount of cucumber. While our waiter was friendly and very apologetic when we pointed this out, this kind of mistake could have had much more serious consequences for someone with a severe allergy. Based on our experience, I would be very cautious about dining here if you have allergies or dietary restrictions. The wine pairing also felt somewhat underwhelming and oddly balanced. Two of the three glasses served were Prosecco and Moscato, which didn’t feel like a particularly well-rounded pairing for the menu. Overall, it the best experience food and service wise, and the issues with the main course and especially the handling of dietary restrictions significantly affected our experience.

02/09/2026: A cozy and excellent place to eat. The most expensive dish costs (Sep. 2026) DKK 125,-! We had a pork roast sandwich (DKK 95,-) and a plate of fries with dip (DKK 50). I will definitely come back!

20/07/2026: Absolutely fantastic cozy atmosphere and vibe at this small and unique cafe. A gem🤩 Here we were welcomed by lovely people who provided top service. The host served a lovely, self-composed pie with apricot and peach, which he just has to put on the menu. The place must be experienced.

12/07/2026: Flew all the way from Malaysia, and walked all the way here as this was recommended by my local colleague as a MUST TRY, disappointed because I only ate one 🥲 This is so good, it’s buttery, warm, soft and fragrant, it’s perfect with a cup of coffee. ❤️🙏 Now that Im back to Malaysia, I truly miss this.

07/06/2026: Had my second visit here… the first time was a very positive experience, but the second time was a bit disappointing and that's why I'm landing in the middle with my stars. Overall, we've tried 4 drinks, all of which were good. Our second visit was marked by an insanely long wait. We had been told we'd have to wait 15-20 minutes. However, we didn't get our drinks until 30-40 minutes later. As an apology for the wait, we were given a taste of their own limoncello. That was fine, but the wait was surprising: there weren't many people and we had a hard time seeing what the delay was due to. Anyways: good drinks.

04/06/2026: My wife and I only went in to use the toilet 😬 but sat down and decided to have a drink at around 10pm last Friday nite. She decided to try a gin and I had a beer and they must put something in them coz next thing we knew we were getting kicked out at closing time 2am 🤣🤣. Thanks to the three young Danes at the next table for the great company and craic. David, Michael & Mes(apologies if I’ve spelt this wrong) shared their tips on gin and added to the two gents behind the bar talking my wife thru the menu it was a good night(big up to Scott from Australia who took it all in good humour). It’s not a cheap venue but we had a good nite. My head was the evidence as we staggered back to the hotel around 5am 🤪

23/08/2026: A restaurant with a unique atmosphere serving delicious food. I was lucky to find a table on a Sunday evening. The staff is smiling and professional, and the dishes arrive incredibly quickly. The excellent demi-glace sauce that accompanied my chopped pork chop is also worth mentioning. A huge selection of beers. I highly recommend it!

20/08/2026: We had a fantastic meal. We ordered frikadeller (Danish meatballs), smørstegt rødspættefilet (butter-fried fish), and flæskesteg (Danish roast pork), and all three were delicious. The meatballs, in particular, were spectacular. But we especially want to highlight Sergio, who was an absolute gem. Super friendly, approachable, attentive, and with excellent recommendations. He speaks Spanish and made us feel very comfortable throughout the meal; he brings a special touch to the place, and honestly, the experience wouldn't have been the same without him. We also want to mention Mikkel, who took excellent care of us. A very good experience to try traditional Danish cuisine in a pleasant atmosphere. We would definitely return!

10/10/2025: Genuinely the best chai latte I have ever had - which made sense because the barista made it very very meticulously! The homemade bread roll was fresh and soft inside. The atmosphere was lovely and the fact that you are in the publishing house’s offices/hq is super cool!

30/09/2025: Lovely cafe in a great neighborhood!! The buns are great and so is the coffee. Just sitting in the corner and reading is so peaceful. Highly recommend if you have the chance to stop by!

18/06/2026: Having recently moved to Denmark, I’ve been exploring local restaurants, and Pilen Pizzaria has quickly become one of my favorites. The pizza I had yesterday was outstanding, and today’s chicken roll was equally delicious. The ingredients taste fresh, the portions are satisfying, and the food is prepared with care. Beyond the food, the service is exceptional. The team is welcoming, attentive, and creates a genuinely pleasant dining experience. It’s rare to find a place that consistently delivers both quality food and great hospitality. Highly recommended to anyone looking for excellent food and friendly service in Odense. I’ll certainly be coming back.

11/05/2026: Have ordered here a few times, and the food is just delicious! Service is also just top notch! The little girl always gets a lollipop from the sweet employee! And they are always smiling!

17/08/2026: A lovely little park that has a lot to offer, especially for families with children. There's a quiz for kids that guides them through the park, adding to the fun. While the park itself is rather small, you can easily spend an hour or two there. There's also a bistro, free parking, and various items for sale. Overall, a great place for a relaxing family outing.

02/09/2026: We had Café Holmen cater our wedding and we were completely satisfied from start to finish. Everything went smoothly and the food was delicious. A great experience all the way through – Café Holmen is highly recommended!

18/08/2026: Real Italian food, by real Italians! And polite ones at that! We got served water directly when we got seated, this was a blessing. The food got served really quick and was delicious! Real thin pizza with puffy crust that tastes like it has had the time to mature, bolognese saus as Nonna would have made it.
