29/12/2025: The coffee is terrible, small Americano with 1 extra espresso shot. Looks and tastes like water, NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Adjust reciepies.

27/12/2025: Too bad they have to ruin their Macha with boiling water and insist it CAN only be made with boiling water. In addition, the attitude at the bottom and the behavior is arrogant. When bakery becomes too mainstream, you lose the art of the profession of quality and the customer. Shameful!

26/03/2026: Extremely unpleasant experience, due to rude service. We were the only customers and I think she would rather be alone.

04/03/2026: Not pleasant. We got our cocoa and cream puff - ok. The lady was "tight" and not very service minded

28/09/2025: Extremely disappointing experience. My friend had her coat stolen at this bar, despite paying for the cloakroom service, which is supposed to ensure the safety of personal items. To make matters worse, when she reported it, staff refused to take any responsibility, even though she had proof of payment and her ticket to claim it, and then they proceeded to kick her out. She will be filing a police report. Completely unacceptable behavior from both the management and staff

28/09/2025: This club is a total scam. I paid for the cloakroom and the staff deliberately stole my coat — the one that had a €50 portable charger inside — while my friend’s coat, which had nothing inside, was left untouched. When I showed my ticket to claim it, they refused to return it and even kicked me out of the club. It was clearly intentional. I am filing a police report. Avoid this place at all costs — they rob customers directly from the paid cloakroom and treat them with zero respect.

28/11/2025: The takeaway food from this grill was a real surprise...in a bad way. Unappetizing deep fried meat that was hard to identify. Too much oil in the spring rolls, but they had a good taste

14/05/2026: Almost all kinds of sandwiches were sold out. Really bad in a place where many people want to buy something to eat.

11/05/2026: Extremely diluted Americano (never seen an Americano so diluted/pale in color) and the pastry was dried up/not fresh despite ordering at 10.30 am.

01/10/2025: Very expensive for what you get. Very nice location opposite the water, but it's your typical tourist trap (forgive the expression). We might have avoided if we weren't exhausted from the day. For two middling quality meals, three drinks and two quite nice dessert it ran us about 870dkk (around £100). Service was spotty with one waitress being fairly on the ball, but the others being somewhat lackluster. Interior was nicely decorated American diner style as per the restaurant type, but one of the bathrooms was a bit of a disaster.

20/09/2025: The food come late. We almost finished our drinks when food arrived. But the bill came faster then light. Amazing. We had the worst burgers and fish and chips in this place. The food looked prefabricated and tasteless. For the first time in my life I had non alcoholic beer served as draft or maybe it wasn't. I will never find out. You should serve bottled, so the customer can read the label. In the end we left very disappointed and poorer.

29/05/2026: Terrible place I didn't come here. The staff suddenly decided to just throw everyone at the bar out without their things and close. Every time I've been there I've experienced rude guards and bartenders and they treat people very unfairly.

29/05/2026: On Wednesday the 27th, me and some friends were in here at closing time where we were asked to leave the bar at very short notice, where I then walk around looking for my jacket since the cloakroom had closed at the time we were in there. Then I asked if I could try looking around to look for it where no chances are given and I get kicked out by the bartender in the picture. On the way out of the bar he chooses to completely ignore my situation without answering. I stand and wait patiently for more than 20 minutes, but instead of some of those in the picture cleaning up or looking at me, they sit and laugh and drink drinks with each other.

18/08/2025: I bought an espresso-based coffee drink. It was served with coffee grounds on the edge of the cup and too much milk in it. The milk had a nice consistency, but this was quickly dominated by a rancid coffee taste, probably due to lack of cleaning for a long time. The service was okay, and you can easily find a sunny spot if you're lucky with the weather, but for the reasons above, I'm unlikely to find my way here again.

26/07/2025: "Holmes Bakery & Café is a family business, dating back three generations. It began in the dawn of history, specifically in 1976 with the famous bakery Marstrand in Kopmagergade, Copenhagen. We are very proud of our traditions, and our nut cakes are among those that have stood the test of time. They have remained in our stores for over 25 years." I ordered them by chance, and when I researched them, they turned out to be something special. They contain almonds and hazelnuts, and they contain no gelatin.

01/11/2025: Their tea birkes used to be the best in town, but now they're really bad. They live on a good reputation from the past.

06/08/2025: The cinnamon role was dry and salty, the croassiant was also dry. The coffee had sump in it. The ice cream was ok. Perhaps just a bad day.

01/09/2025: Not bad for eating there, but the packaged takeaway food wasn't good at all; it didn't look good.

03/07/2025: Update from previous review. No improvement. Despite their response to my previous review. Several tables filled with trash that was only removed when I took pictures. Chewing gum under the tables. Tilting tables that were fixed by stuffing trash under them. Missing cushion, which means exposed dirty teflon in the middle of the side seat. Broken and dirty electrical outlets. The staff seems indifferent. The food is overpriced, the coffee is expensive and tastes of absolutely nothing. The tables are dirty and are not wiped down.

07/11/2025: The visit to Espresso House in Kolding Storcenter was a really good experience. The employee was friendly and welcoming, which created a good atmosphere from the start. We ordered a Latte Salted Caramel with whipped cream – our absolute favorite coffee from Espresso House – and it was just as delicious as always. The place is cozy with both soft sofa groups and regular tables and chairs, and there is plenty of space between the seats, so you can enjoy your coffee in peace and quiet. If you use the Espresso House app, however, you must remember to say so before paying so that the discount or points are registered correctly.

01/10/2025: The cafe closed at 8:00 PM, 6:40 PM you couldn't get a cup anymore when they had finished washing up and counted the cash register, the customer after me got the biggest sigh and was told she couldn't pay with cash when the cash register was counted. Shameful experience as it's one of my favorite caffè shops 🤷🏼‍♀️

29/08/2025: Stresset personale, lang ventetid på maden, smagsløst kød og lidt sejt. Igen lang ventetid på at få lov at betale. En øv oplevelse og vi kommer helt sikkert ikke igen 😩

08/08/2025: Ubehøvlet service. Fik da i hvert fald skræmt os væk som kunder. Fik smidt menukort på bordet foran os, intet hej, for at få afvide at næste gang skulle vi checke ind indenfor, fremfor at sætte os udenfor. Ikke en måde at behandle kunderne på.

30/12/2025: The juices are good, but the food isn't great. Overall, it's a bit overpriced.

07/09/2025: The staff was very friendly. The place was also very clean. But the pricing policy is a bad joke. €17 for two small drinks.
