02/04/2026: A bit expensive compared to the standard of the food

28/03/2026: When you visit a place called Røverstuen and it is located in Rebild, you might not expect a gourmet experience. Nevertheless, we have chosen to test their Stjerneskud, now that they have it on the menu. And with a price of 189,-, they must also think that they can make one like that. We arrive at the restaurant, where we are almost the only ones, and order the 2 Stjerneskud at 14:15. 13 minutes later it is served. Quite quickly. And our experience is that with such a short time for preparation, the fence is often jumped over the lowest in several places. Curious if that also applies here. When we judge the dish, we of course compare it with what is on the menu. It lives up to what they write. In Røverstuen they almost live up to what they write, and in one place a little more. It says 2 fish fillets, but we got 3. If we look at the quality and flavor composition, we'd better start from scratch. Here you find a piece of toasted bread with butter on it. I would have liked to have seen it toasted in a pan in butter, so it had a crispy surface and not this soft version. The 3 fish fillets seemed to have come straight from the freezer and then in the deep fryer. Of course, a lot of time has been saved here, but the quality is also significantly lower. The homemade mayonnaise and cocktail dressing tasted quite good. I always appreciate fresh green asparagus, but the pickled ones from a can, they're nothing to brag about. There were plenty of shrimp, but not the hand-peeled ones as they had written. Not the best in terms of flavor either. The garnish consisted of a little greens, half an egg, a little hot smoked salmon and Caviar. (Finally some who dare to admit that they use Caviart) Lots of food and we were well fed. The quality of some ingredients and preparation could be improved, and therefore we end up with an average rating of 3.3/5

28/12/2025: My son (14), husband, and daughter (1.5 years old) ate here a few months ago, and the food was absolutely amazing. I’ve been craving it ever since! The portions were very generous, and the jerk chicken was incredibly moist and full of flavor. I’m from Jamaica, and I fully approve of this restaurant’s twist on jerk chicken! On top of the great food, I truly appreciated the owner’s warmth. She took the time to make sure our little Kira was comfortable and well looked after, which meant a lot to us. We did realize a bit too late that the restaurant isn’t particularly toddler-friendly. However, our daughter was on her best behavior that day, and the owner was so kind and accommodating, making sure Kira was comfortable throughout our visit. I will definitely be visiting again the next time my husband and I are out for a date night. All the best, Kimberly

21/12/2025: For a homesick island gal like myself, visiting the Caribbean Housewife was like stepping into a little pocket of home in the middle of a foreign land. From the moment we entered, Jamain made us feel warm & welcome, and the food blew us away with the flavour I'd been missing since leaving home. Jamain was polite, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the various dishes and drinks we indulged in. It also felt great to converse with someone with a similar background - almost like talking to a longtime friend. This is a hidden gem in CPH, and one that you shouldn't miss out on if you have the chance!

23/08/2025: Le Pave es excelente. Hemos cenado aquí a menudo a lo largo de los años. La comida siempre es excelente. Prueba los mejillones. Buen vino, también. Comer puede ser por dentro o por fuera. La cena afuera se encuentra en la histórica y pintoresca Plaza Greyfriars. No solo hemos tenido muchas cenas aquí, también es agradable parar a tomar un aperitivo por la tarde y beber para refrescarse después de un día de gira. Los propietarios de marido y mujer son increíblemente amable y hospitalario. ¡Incluso puedes saludar a Apollo, su lindo perrito!

16/08/2025: Fantastically good food and service! We had the 3-course set menu consisting of tuna carpaccio, beef fillet and for dessert pavlova. All dishes with very nice side dishes. Highly recommended!

21/11/2025: It's the ultimate gaming cafe. We played a few hours of MtG at a pre-booked table in excellent acoustics and with nice hosts. The place is well-visited, so I recommend booking a table if your visit is planned at a time when many visitors are expected. The only downside is the parking options. But the location is close to both the train station and the bus station, so if you choose to drink a few IPAs while the game is on, there are only a few meters to public transport.

13/04/2026: We held our family Easter lunch this year at the restaurant Skovmøllen in Marselisborg Forest. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience, and we cannot recommend others to go there. The concept was a buffet from 12-15. We arrived at 12 and were given a large round table that was so squeezed into the corner that half of the party could not get out unless the others got up. The buffet was constantly lacking, and the worst thing was when the waiters were supposed to serve new dishes and forgot the side dishes. There was also a dish missing, except for the vegetarian green dish with the chef's variation of vegetables that covered a plate of boiled potatoes with parsley. The waiters were absent all afternoon and almost impossible to get in touch with. We were missing water, and even though we collected the table's 3 water jugs together, we did not get new ones. We ordered a beer, and when they had run out of beer glasses we were promised 2 small ones instead of 1 large one. They just never came and refilled them. The buffet was constantly missing something, either 1-2 dishes or bread, which was more empty than full in the bread baskets. The extra beers we were promised, we had to go up and order at the bar, but they came so late that we had just had a beer before we were supposed to have coffee. When they served the coffee, there were dirty dinner plates at everyone's table, and only because we asked they were cleared away. Pretty terrible service.
