28/08/2026: Bad chicken bacon sandwich My wife had ordered a chicken bacon sandwich. The chicken was so dry and sad, as if it had been sitting out for a long time, then warmed up in a microwave (mostly reminded me of dried klipfish). We told the waiter that it was inedible (and that we didn't want a new one). He said he hoped the beer tasted good. I said he could have offered a cup of coffee as compensation, but he apologized that he was new, still without offering a cup of coffee.....

18/08/2026: Excellent selection for an "eat 'til you drop" brunch. Should you feel the need for a dessert to finish off, there is also a good and wide selection. Importantly, and of great importance, the coffee served was tasty. 🙂

06/08/2026: 2 chose pepper steak which both should have the same degree of doneness, medium, neither was right. The sauce tasted nothing otherwise ok. 2 schnitzels which were edible but so-so. The children took homemade breaded chicken, however they forgot to write that it was coconut breaded which changes the dish a lot. The children's burger we were supposed to have was supposed to be an "empty burger" came with cheese and a lot of vegetables (which didn't exactly fit in a children's burger).

21/07/2026: We celebrated my husband's birthday and the weather was lovely. We got a table outside in the courtyard. Really nice. We all ordered 3 House Steaks. One 300g and 2 200g. Also rosé wine which was kept cold and topped up when the glasses were almost empty. It tasted really good. Can recommend

24/08/2026: A bit of a sad place, and service we felt like we were in the way and not welcome.

19/08/2026: Our lunch visit to Rib House in Hillerød unfortunately didn't go as planned. We were a group of two adults and two children. First, we had to wait quite a while before we could even place our order. Then, it took about 30 minutes for our drinks to arrive. During this time, we noticed that guests who had ordered after us were already being served. There also seemed to be delays and service issues at other occupied tables. However, the restaurant wasn't very busy at the time of our visit. About 45 minutes after receiving our drinks, our food was served. Unfortunately, the meals for the two adults didn't match our original order. When we inquired, we were told that the sandwich we had ordered wasn't available and that a burger had been served instead. We hadn't been informed of this beforehand. The side dishes also differed from our order. When we asked again, additional side dishes were brought out during the meal, but we didn't need them. The children had "røde pølser" (red sausages) with fries and were satisfied with their meal. The service staff seemed overwhelmed and inattentive. Given the restaurant's low occupancy, the long wait times and repeated discrepancies with our order were difficult for us to understand. Overall, our visit was characterized by long waits, a lack of communication, and several discrepancies with our order. With two children, we found the long wait particularly unpleasant. Based on this experience, we would not recommend Rib House and would not visit again. It's a shame, because the location right next to Frederiksborg Castle is truly beautiful and actually offers excellent potential for a pleasant restaurant experience.

16/08/2026: Excellent food and great service, but you’re paying for that. You know when you go into. If you order the hamburger with chips, they will charge you for the chips separately. This is the first place I’ve seen in my two weeks in Denmark charging you for the water.

08/08/2026: We had the opportunity to visit this lovely butcher and delicatessen several times during our stay in Stege, and we were always warmly welcomed by the friendly staff. They have an excellent selection of products, everything is very fresh and of great quality. You can really tell that they take pride in what they offer. Definitely a place we would highly recommend if you are staying in Stege!

02/08/2026: Cozy place in the middle of Copenhagen and really delicious food. However, we waited almost 40 minutes for our food even though the table next to us managed to get 3 of their different dishes before we got ours. We each got an extra glass of wine as compensation for the wait. Not the last time we eat there despite the wait this time.

11/05/2026: In Ribe, dogs are not allowed inside most restaurants. You are then required to sit outside. Not appealing at 13 degrees, so we moved on. At this lovely restaurant, however, dogs are welcome. The first thing they did was place a bowl of water. The food at this restaurant is good at a reasonable price. Prompt and friendly service.

07/05/2026: Great steak ! Really interesting decor. The walls are decorated with photos from Jacob Riis time in New York. The waiter was happy to take the time to tell us about who Jocob Riis was and to give us the back story on the photos.

23/12/2025: Christmas duck, nice and crispy and tastes good, together with the baked mashed potatoes. Polite and smiling service. A really good atmosphere in the restaurant. Jensens Bøfhus wishes a really merry Christmas and a good and prosperous New Year With best regards Susanne Madsen

17/09/2025: I ate the best steak ever there...more tender than tender...the potato slices were superb...the appetizer was nachos topped with cheese...simply delicious...

29/08/2026: We have been there about 6 times over the last few years, and it is getting worse and worse. It is very expensive and the quality of their steaks does not live up to the prices. Today it was so bad that we agreed that now we will not bother with the place anymore. The meat is not properly trimmed for tendons etc., and it is clearly a cheaper piece of meat than you were offered previously. It was 40 degrees and not a single window was open before a guest had enough and opened one. Both waiters who were present could hardly speak any Danish, and seemed super stressed despite the place being able to accommodate a maximum of 20-25 people, which should be easily manageable for 2 people. The noise level was extremely high from one waiter and from some of the guests. And their soda is, I don't know how to describe it other than very flat copies of well-known classics without fizzy drinks but again at 57 kr per glass. Unfortunately, it can no longer be recommended.

09/07/2026: Small but incredibly cozy restaurant. The steaks were fantastic. Prices are reasonable, and as a bonus, they offered an exquisite selection of rums.
