19/08/2026: After careful research and reading a few reviews, we headed to MEAT. The wait staff was friendly and professional, the beer selection excellent, and the Argentinean meat was fantastic. Highly recommended. The price?!? Average for Denmark.

30/08/2026: Really good food and good service! The portions are large, so you really get something for your money and we had a really nice and friendly waiter.

27/08/2026: Well, the burgers weren't anything special, and the bands were too fluffy for my taste.

29/12/2025: We had Sunday Roast with 3 servings of meat which was of very warming quality. Oh my! The side dishes were absolutely fine. Our waiter was incredibly unengaged, spoke so softly that she was a shadow of herself and almost impossible to get in touch with. After previous visits we had really looked forward to Sunday Roast with meat ad libitum, but oh my they couldn't live up to that.

21/12/2025: Food was a bit overrated, meat was ok but you can taste almost the same anywhere. Our meal was forgotten by the kitchen so we had to wait for almost 55 minutes for dinner after the starters. Nothing special about the atmosphere and the dinner.

29/08/2026: Den Gyldne Okse is a fantastically lovely and cozy place, and the quality is top notch, both in terms of food, but certainly also the service and atmosphere. We regularly drive from Aarhus to Viborg, just to visit Den Gyldne Okse, and enjoy a delicious meal in the cozy surroundings. My best recommendations.

19/07/2026: I came here 1,5 hours before closing, and were told that they did not serve food anymore. I could understand that if it was a pub or similar, but not from a restaurant like this.

28/08/2026: Really good place with a large selection and great service.

24/08/2026: Lovely place to get a all you can eat experience. The place is clean and the staff is friendly. For the meat lovers that want to go all in on the meat - don't expect high quality cuts, most of the selection is pig and different types of brisket. I saw the wagyu and red meat and got excited but it is only briskets, no steaks or entricots, or high level meat cuts. It's still worth the money for what you pay and what you get, just the meat isn't top shelf... But like I said, worth the money!!

05/09/2026: We had lunch at this lovely, welcoming restaurant. We ordered a one-course meal that included 200g of steak, a baked potato, and a small jug of delicious sauce, all accompanied by a truly delicious mixed salad. All the food was fresh and excellent quality. The desserts were also up to par: few dishes, but all delicious. Compliments. The bill was fair. Recommended.

05/09/2026: Great steak, cooked properly. Competitive pricing and quick service. I like the ordering method where you select what you want using the yellow paper. Atmosphere was good and lots of families and couples. Would have a date here.

31/08/2026: Absolutely excellent meal, the meat could be chewed with the eyelashes, of course we didn't, we used our teeth. The service can't be complained about either. All in all a really good experience.

15/08/2026: I cannot recommend this restaurant. I have been to the restaurant since it opened and the food was amazing back then. Later I came there several times when they offered brunch but I stopped coming after an unpleasant experience. I tried to buy some pancakes separately for my son but the owner said that it was not possible and that my son, even though he was only 3 years old, would have to pay for the brunch because he was taking up a seat at the table. Of course we had no problem paying as that was the restaurant's rule. Many years passed. On another Google Maps profile that I had previously, the owner even asked me to pay for my review and called me a liar. He claimed that the restaurant had never had brunch. However, I could confirm through pictures that they did offer brunch at the time I wrote my first review. In 2026 I decided to return to the restaurant to celebrate a birthday. To my great surprise there was absolutely no change. The service is still very poor. I came with an open mind and hoped for a new experience, so that I could maybe change my opinion about the place, but unfortunately nothing had improved. We ordered a juice, which took almost 20 minutes to arrive. My meat came cold inside, but I chose not to ask for it to be exchanged because I did not want to appear difficult or demanding. This was especially because another guest at a neighboring table asked for his meat to be exchanged, precisely because it was cold, and was told that he did not understand anything about meat. I will simply NEVER return to this restaurant. I have already told some of my friends that if they have a party or other gathering at this place, I will decline the invitation. I do not want to spend almost 1,200 kr. for four people to be treated badly and receive such poor service. Good luck to those who choose to visit the place. I sincerely hope that you will have a better experience and that you will receive the good service that you should expect.

16/08/2026: We ordered pizzas for 15 people, the message was, ready in 10 minutes, it sounded pretty fast, and quite rightly so, we arrived after 10 minutes, and there were no pizzas ready, on the other hand there were quite a few people waiting for their pizzas to be ready, it made for a longer wait, one of the smart young people came and offered a bottle of cold "waiting water" a nice offer, when the pizzas finally came in the oven, it went quickly. We must admit that the pizzas were worth the wait, everyone was satisfied with their pizzas, they were delicious, there was plenty of filling, nice bottom, crispy to the touch. We would like to try that again

15/07/2026: My second burger experience in Copenhagen and I have to say it was just ok. The burgers tasted ok and the after taste wasn’t great. On a positive note the fries collection was phenomenal. Try the salt n vinegar one and the kids loves their twisty fries. Kids also were given coloring pages while they waited for their burgers which was a plus. I would probably go again for the kids but if I was alone Copenhagen has a few better options

31/07/2026: Absolutely the most delicious, flavorful food cooked to perfection! The whole restaurant is talking about it across the tables 😊 A few delicious dishes to choose from. Several tables tonight can recommend the hake, rib eye and octopus. The service is polite and attentive. The chef and owner for 9 years is from Bulgaria and the waiter from Greece and lovely to talk to. Definitely worth a visit.
