21/08/2024: A friend and I went here for dinner and opted for the all-you-can-eat option. There was no mention of the price, but it was quite pricey. The sushi itself was delicious, but very filling. By the second round, I was so full I couldn't finish it all, so I wanted to take the sushi home. You then had to pay for it again, which isn't exactly cheap.
The two of us spent €886 for just 64 servings of sushi. We were quite shocked. That's €120.

25/08/2023: Friday night in the heart of Copenhagen with fantastic weather, the experience at this restaurant doesn't get much better.
We sat outside and enjoyed the atmosphere and the buzz of people passing by.
The waiters were attentive and friendly. Even though there were many visitors, the food arrived quickly and it tasted simply amazing.
The prices are really good in relation to the quality and quantity. We left feeling full and stuffed.

Bastante caro pero sabroso
06/05/2025: I've been eating their salads for almost a decade and have obviously been a huge fan. However, the last few years their prices have skyrocketed, while the boxes have become smaller and less full. Although they are still delicious salads, with the latest price hike I can no longer recommend them. I really have to buy 1.5-2 portions for more than 100kr each to get full.

03/11/2024: Passed by the Pavilion on a walk with the dog the week after the autumn holidays and found in the Beer Garden a large play hay maze.
Nice idea☺️
Large, beautiful 5x5 parasols were set up, which inspires the summer house terrace, we must own one 👌🤩

Gone from a 5 star experience to a 3 star in a matter of months. Opened up to way too many people, pool is now overcrowded, removed the squash area, removed health benefitting machines such as the sled, added a bunch of weight benches instead and gimmick machines (egym) which forces you to pay an extra 150,- and stops you from doing more than one set before you have to change machine.
Place is turning into poor and average instead of the upscale gym it used to be.

Best items are tomato soup n daal curry ( I’m vegetarian)
We kept coming back to this restaurant since last 3 years and now it is temporarily closed, very sad

14/07/2025: I’m devastated by the news that Høvlen is no-more, and that it got bought up by investors from Reffen street food.
This iconic place lasted 135 years. Thanks Iben for some real hygge. And of course not forget Buster 🐾. Hope to see Høvlen getting back to what it was, but for now, I’m scared it will turn into some juice-bar.

Please promise that you will stick to the high quality food you deliver and not compromise on the sizes. We will buy food from you every single day if this can be fulfilled in the future. Thank you for really really good food! We ordered via Wolt by the way. If you can go full organic in the future and sign this, it is 100 out of 100 stars!
