There's a buffet advertised and you're approached about it. The daily rate, until 5:30 PM, is 219 Danish kroner per person. Payment is made in advance, so we paid at 5:21 PM.
BEWARE OF SCAM!!
We were charged 269 Danish kroner per person after 5:30 PM. When we complained with our receipt, it was quickly thrown away. So we overpaid by 100 Danish kroner. The receipt only showed the high TOTAL PRICE of 656 Danish kroner, which is 328 Danish kroner per person. A detailed breakdown of the individual prices for the food and drinks is missing from the receipt!!!
IS THIS FRAUD???
16/08/2026: The two of us ate together. My wife had stuffed, fried plaice, and I had the "Shooting Star Deluxe" (plaice fillets with crab and salmon on toast). The food was excellent and tasted freshly prepared. The terrace has a very traditional and basic ambiance, but it's charming thanks to the harbor setting.

28/08/2026: Bad chicken bacon sandwich
My wife had ordered a chicken bacon sandwich. The chicken was so dry and sad, as if it had been sitting out for a long time, then warmed up in a microwave (mostly reminded me of dried klipfish). We told the waiter that it was inedible (and that we didn't want a new one). He said he hoped the beer tasted good. I said he could have offered a cup of coffee as compensation, but he apologized that he was new, still without offering a cup of coffee.....

26/08/2026: The only restaurant in the old town of Skagen where you can still get a beer from a keg in a plastic cup and also fantastic hammered crab claws. The staff are absolutely superb. Many thanks for reviving our old memories.
21/08/2026: The staff and service were immaculate, food good but not the best, we only had fish and chips, which were really good quality, and the buffet, which is good, but not too extensive. The prices were quite steep, which might be the main downside, other than the noise from all the customers.
Seems a bit tight and crowded, thats the vibe of these harbour restaurants.

16/08/2026: Cute American diner. The burgers were delicious, and the owner, probably Jerry, was super nice.
The food arrived really quickly, and the service was great.
We had a good time and would come back. :)

24/06/2026: Bestiller maden til 18.30. Da jeg henter maden er de forsinket. Modtager maden, går direkte ud i bilen og kører hjem på 4 minutter. Alligevel er maden kold da jeg kommer hjem.
