11/04/2026: Food (at least brunch) is not home made and seem to be from a supermarket, I suggest going to Kaffesmeden instead for breakfast.

23/12/2025: We spontaneously stopped in for lunch today. The service was incredibly friendly, and the chili con carne deserves more than 5 stars: the presentation and taste were simply excellent…definitely check it out if you're in Ribe!!!

11/05/2026: In Ribe, dogs are not allowed inside most restaurants. You are then required to sit outside. Not appealing at 13 degrees, so we moved on. At this lovely restaurant, however, dogs are welcome. The first thing they did was place a bowl of water. The food at this restaurant is good at a reasonable price. Prompt and friendly service.

Really interesting decor. The walls are decorated with photos from Jacob Riis time in New York. The waiter was happy to take the time to tell us about who Jocob Riis was and to give us the back story on the photos.

02/12/2025: Several handicap parking spaces right outside the door as well as drive-in hatches and plenty of regular parking spaces, so there are no parking problems like at most bakeries. The fact that it is Denmark's best bread just makes it better.

26/10/2025: good wine and a slightly more exciting selection of cocktails, beer could be more exciting, there is a bit of a mess with their opening hours on the website, it may say 02:00 and then they suddenly start asking people to leave at 00:30, it's a mess, I haven't tasted any food from here

06/01/2026: A truly lovely and warm experience.
Asks for help with ordering on the screen, which shows the options.
I get the help, and that right up until payment.
The food is excellent and impeccable.
With the fine service when ordering, it is also informed, with a print and information about the number on the metal card, that the order will be served, as long as the metal card is placed visibly on the table, it looks like fine service.
The atmosphere is calm and smiling.
After eating, I take the tray to the waste disposal, and wow, it doesn't happen, of course it did, everything except the tray goes in, as waste. I point out my mistake to the staff and apologize for my mistake. It is taken very nicely, by polite staff.
A thousand thanks, must be said for this indulgence.
That in itself, with this experience, makes for a lovely evening.
