21/12/2025: Disappointing experience on 12/20 at 5:30 PM (they didn't close until 7 PM) My husband, our son and I have been Christmas shopping and then decide to end the day by going in and getting mulled wine and apple slices at Penny Lane on Boulevarden. When we enter we are greeted by sweet and smiling staff. We are directed to a table and we place an order. My son gets a raspberry slice and a hot cocoa. My husband and I get our mulled wine. We sit patiently and when 15 minutes have passed I ask if our apple slices are on their way soon. - they are not homemade apple slices so that is not what is causing the wait. The girl at the counter says that they are on their way. Another 5 minutes pass and we are seated so that we can look directly into their kitchen where the food is being prepared. We can't see a shadow of the apple slices there. There is a good atmosphere among the staff, they laugh, eat bread and actually seem quite indifferent to us and that we have been waiting so long. There were a maximum of 10-15 customers in the store and four at work, so it was not because of busyness. I go up again and approach the staff, and only then does she come in more directly and ask where our apple slices are going. They have apparently forgotten a timer on the oven so they were burnt, I was told. Only then do they get the freezer bag with apple slices and heat them up. I ask for two new mulled wine as these have become cold, which we also get - we had hardly drunk the ones we returned. At 6:10 pm what we have ordered finally arrives, but what was supposed to be pleasant actually ended up with us being irritated and frustrated and actually just wanting to leave. The young man who took our order said he was sorry for the wait. We left, and there was no goodbye or anything like that. I have had a shop in Aalborg for more than 13 years, and I generally don't like people reporting via such platforms as it can unjustifiably harm a company, but I'm fine with this. I was in the café as late as the day before Friday morning eating breakfast with a friend. We do this often. There has been nothing to complain about. However, we have agreed that we will take a break from Penny Lane for the time being.

05/06/2026: We were there with a group to celebrate our daughter's birthday. The staff were smiling and did their best to make their guests feel comfortable. I chose salmon from the menu. The fish was fried, just right, grilled corn and a Hasselbach potato - then broccoli and carrots were served, unfortunately they were completely raw. I could also find that in the salad buffet. Instead, you had to blanch some delicious asparagus instead. Just a little tip. The salad buffet had something for everyone. Will definitely come again.

23/05/2026: Nice and cozy, great staff, good vines, and it's fine selection of books, you can't really go wrong here. I haven't had food here so can't comment on that.

02/04/2026: Super cozy place and really good service. 40kr for a cappuccino and 35kr for an americano. Recommended to go in with your book and relax.

10/05/2026: Lunch with wife and parents. Absolutely fantastic lunch and experience. The food is fantastic with delicious ingredients and homemade rye bread. The staff, mostly young people are extremely friendly, welcoming and attentive. You become proud to live in Denmark with such wonderful and outgoing young people 👏👏👏 You should definitely try this place. There is just nothing bad to say here 🇩🇰

07/02/2026: They are really nice!! And good atmosphere they have a TV that has all the channels and it was pretty cool to be able to eat and watch some football while at the restaurant. The service is fast and easy.

16/12/2025: I had oysters, steamed shrimp, steak, and eggplant, all accompanied by wine. Everything was delicious. It was a Tuesday, but the place was packed, and the staff were friendly despite their busy schedule. I appreciated the restaurant's thoughtfulness, even changing my steak order when I made a mistake. It's a bit outside of downtown Copenhagen, but I highly recommend it as a local favorite in Copenhagen!

29/12/2025: A really lovely shop with a charming Christmas corner. Elf enthusiasts will find plenty of crafting supplies here. The rest of the shop has everything your heart desires: decorations, candles, toys, clothing, Danish merchandise, and, what we especially appreciated, it doesn't have that touristy feel that unfortunately plagues so many other shops around Ringkøbing Fjord. They offer typical Danish decorations. Right next to the shop is a great café that invites you to linger, and if you like, you can even make your own candles. Simply hygge!

13/01/2026: The pre selected course menu is great, especially with the wine recommendation of the friendly waitors. The food is amazing and tasty, worth trying! The seating is not the most comfortable, but it fits the fish market diner atmosphere.

30/04/2026: We visited this Mexican place in Copenhagen for lunch and absolutely loved it. We tried the mango tacos with pulled jackfruit, and the combination of mango and pineapple was incredible—such a unique mix of flavors and unlike any tacos we’d had before. It was our first time trying something like this, and we were genuinely impressed. We also had the Mission District bowl, which was equally flavorful and satisfying. Overall, a fantastic experience with creative, delicious food that’s definitely worth a visit.
