24/07/2026: Terribly poor food, completely tasteless and not cooked/fried to perfection. And it's clearly at the high end of the price range for Samsø. Impressive.

24/07/2026: We stopped here for a traditional Danish lunch before taking the ferry. The food was fresh, delicious, and well prepared. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. The waitress was not very friendly or attentive, which affected the overall experience. Great food, but the customer service could definitely be improved.

20/06/2026: I have been coming to Salato for many years and have always asked for “a lot of dressing” in my sandwich and when I asked for the same today, I was told that it costs 6 kr extra for “extra dressing”. I ask if this is new, to which the answer is that it has always been like this. I don’t know if I have been “lucky” for many years or if I caught the clerk on a bad day, but I have never been informed and have never paid more. I don’t mind paying extra for more, but the amount you get for 6 kr extra is extremely small, I am not unreasonable and I am not asking for more liters in.. 95 kr for a sandwich with “extra” dressing is deeply bad and I have to look for another sandwich place unfortunately.

11/08/2026: Employee has attitude, whispers our number over the rest of the noise in the restaurant, says she's said our number 3 times and rolls her eyes when she delivers our food, you shouldn't work in a place like that. Clearly she's tired of her job.

29/07/2026: I have been there several times and the experience has always been positive. The atmosphere is cozy, the staff is friendly and the service is fast. What I like the most is the playground where the children can play and have fun while the adults can relax and enjoy the food or coffee. All in all, it is a good place for families with a good atmosphere and good service. I will come back.

22/08/2026: British tourist visiting Pippali Indian grill, which I was very happy with overall. The food there is amazing and very filling. We tried handi chicken, chilli lamb, jeera rice and fresh naan, all I would recommend. The service was great with friendly kind staff that acted professional. The building itself is a nice establishment which makes you feel like you’d want to stay. I would highly recommend anyone to visit this grill.

23/05/2026: I am only giving this place one stars because of the guy who served us the first bottle of wine, he did a good job. After that I am sad to say it was extremely arrogant. Waited a long time for ordering the second bottle and when approaching the bar to order I was told to sit down and wait…. I repeated that I just wanted a specific bottle and was then in a very firm tone told to sit and wait my turn. I have never experienced such a rude service. We of course left.

24/02/2026: The best thing was the cappuccino, very well prepared. Hot chocolate, as usual in Dane cafes, is more to the weak side and not thick at all. The croissant was almost good — and just that. Background music was a bit louder than necessary. On the positive side, it’s a nice small cafe. Perhaps I’ll go for a second try.

18/07/2026: Omelette with cold bacon, old salad and bread with warm butter (melted). Accompanied by a lukewarm Erdinger.

08/07/2026: It has always been a good place but now the service is going downhill. It takes WAY too long to get the food, 45 minutes for a simple omelet. And then you get an explanation about staffing issues? Not an apology.
