11/07/2026: Nice experience and good service. We weren't that hungry and were allowed to share a pizza without any problems, which even came on 2 plates. The place may be a bit boring, but the food is not bad.

11/07/2026: The service was super friendly, the food was absolutely delicious, and the prices were perfectly reasonable. Even our dog was welcome on the terrace.

22/08/2026: It's a snack bar, and you get snack bar food as expected. But unfortunately, it's nothing particularly good. The portions were huge, but the nachos, kebabs, and burgers were really nothing to write home about.

05/08/2026: Mandø Kro is much more than just a place to eat – it is an experience that fits perfectly with the very special atmosphere on Mandø. Located in the middle of the island, the inn offers lots of charm, cozy surroundings and a genuine Danish inn atmosphere, where you immediately feel welcome. Mandø Kro The menu is based on classic Danish dishes with a focus on good ingredients and local flavors. Here you will find, among other things, schnitzel, Danish steak, moules frites, hot smoked salmon and homemade desserts as well as local beers and wines from the area around the Wadden Sea. The staff is friendly, welcoming and happy to share stories about the island and life on Mandø. The atmosphere is relaxed, and it is an ideal place to take a break after a trip with the Mandø bus or a walk around the island. The inn also offers accommodation if you want to experience Mandø at a slower pace, when most day visitors have gone home. The icing on the cake is the location in the middle of UNESCO's Wadden Sea, where nature, history and gastronomy come together in a higher unity. Just remember to plan your trip according to the tide if you drive to the island in your own car. An authentic Danish inn experience with lots of coziness, good food and a unique location. A place worth visiting – even if you are only on Mandø for a few hours. 🌊🍽️

21/11/2025: Just had an overnight stay with my husband and can highly recommend the hotel. Good service and nice staff, especially "The Girl with the Pavement" was a really uplifting moment☺. Would love to come again

23/04/2026: Didn't eat there because the owner was sitting outside with his phone and was loudly busy belittling everything and everyone, which we also noticed when we (which is natural for us) put out a cigarette properly and wanted to throw the shutter in the trash, were verbally abused and called a scoundrel. He didn't want the shutters in the trash, and fair enough, a normal tone of voice and a less hostile approach would have been in order. We left the place quite shocked, but what a shame that this experience was the first thing we encountered on our visit to Fanø.

20/07/2026: We dropped in for a glass of wine on a Saturday afternoon and were tempted by a tapas platter, which was really nice by the way. We ordered but had to leave our wine untouched in the end, as it took a long time for our tapas to arrive. When the board finally arrived, he apologized and explained that he was alone. 2 things could have saved it…if we had been informed from the start that it would take a long time, so we were prepared, he would have helped or he had just brought the bottle and “topped” our glass, it would have been a completely different experience. There are so many wine bars in Copenhagen and it is the extra service that often makes us come back.

23/07/2026: Really good pizza, never disappoints

16/07/2026: Systematized durum (kebab) review. 21 points in total. Durum with kebab and chili cost 65 kr (lunch offer). The bread (0-3 points): 2.5 points (homemade bread, but a little too thick bread and missing burn marks). The salad (cucumber, tomato, lettuce and onion), 0-2 points: 2 points (nice amount, nicely chopped and good ratio compared to the meat), see the pictures. Some free extras (e.g. red cabbage, hummus, taboulah), 0-1 point: 0 points The meat (0-5 points): 2 points (the meat is standard “pizza kebab” that you can also buy frozen in the supermarket. It was fried and had a nice fried crust, so it actually tasted great, but the meat is of such low quality that you find large pieces of tendon in the meat (see picture 2). It was like chewing rubber, and that is unacceptable in my eyes. The chili (0-2 points): 1.5 points (good strength and good tomato flavor, but lacks a counterpoint to the tomato flavor). The dressing (0-2 points): 2 points (standard creme fraiche) The quantity / how full you were (0-2 points): 2 points (large and good amount of meat). Service (0-1 point): 1 point (friendly and fast) The price (0-3 points, where 3 points are 30-40 kr., 2.5 points is 40-50 kr., 2 points is 50-60 kr., 1.5 points is 60-70 kr., 1 point is over 70 kr.): 1.5 points 14.5 / 21 points = 3.4 stars —> rounds down to 3 stars out of 5 —> rounds down to 2 stars due to tough piece of tendon in the meat.

22/04/2026: Had lunch platter and burger. Fresh and tasty. Perfectly seasoned and with crispy green toppings. Several types of interesting bread. The salmon was particularly good.

14/03/2026: Trout and herring food is tasteless. Far too high price for low quality. Coffee average.

15/05/2026: Sweet and friendly service. Good selection of cold beer on tap. Definitely a place to swing by, either for a single beer or a couple of hours in good company 😀

10/08/2026: We were at a wedding here recently and I would say the place is very cozy, but well worn out and needs a loving hand and maybe some gardening 🙏🤗 The food tastes good enough, but it would have tasted even better if it was hot when you got it. The portions are also somewhat smaller than we are used to here in the countryside. The staff was super nice and helpful. The parking facilities are really poor out there, so come well in advance before your visit.

10/08/2026: We had our wedding at Kongekilden on August 1, 2026, and everything was simply perfect and magical! There is no doubt for a second that the team has everything under control. The food, the beautiful surroundings, the service and the whole atmosphere have subsequently been praised to the skies by our guests. As a bride and groom, it means everything to be able to let go of your worries, sit back and just enjoy the day. We can highly recommend Kongekilden to anyone who is having a special celebration. Thank you so much for making our big day unforgettable!

29/08/2026: A very nice restaurant. It has its own charm. I only miss cleaning wipes at the tables. Other than that, it's delicious and not expensive. I recommend it.
