31/08/2026: Disgusting food and rotten shit in the kitchen. You're better off with McDonalds.

15/07/2026: What a tired and boring pizza... Just order a regular Vezuvio ham pizza. The ham was dark and dry, there was cheese on one half of the pizza but not the other and the crust was completely chewy and boring. I will definitely not have pizza from there again.

07/09/2026: I was there on Saturday, August 29, 2026. A huge disappointment... a young crowd. 200 kr for a cocktail, 150 kr for watered-down drinks, no music, nothing special... a small place, everyone was crowded. I don't recommend it for people over 25. I don't recommend it.

06/09/2026: mmm...got denied in the entrance due to wearing sneakers by a bouncer without hair and earning minimum salary, tbh is a great place with great spaces the times i have been in... but well they prefer kids spending 500 dkr.

16/08/2026: Absolutely worst behavior of courier / staff ever. The food was supposed to be ready ESTIMATED between 19.50 - 20.10. I didn't get any confirmation of the delivery, so I assumed it was 20.10 or later as usually happens via. Wolt. Suddenly I get a call from the courier, possibly the pizzeria staff, and am immediately scolded for not being at my door. I go down to my depot 15 min before delivery time, and expect the food to be delivered only 20.10+, as no CONFIRMATION came. The order is still not completed on Wolt. I go out in a hurry, and forget my key. This leads to me being locked out of my apartment block, and the person on the phone doesn't understand I'm locked out. He doesn't hear me at all that I need help, and completely ignores what I say, but continues to complain and scold me because he has been waiting 3 min. He comes down and scolds me, leaves and the door slams again. I then have to wait for others to show up and lock me in. Total rude behavior!

29/06/2026: It's a pizzeria. The pizzas are good. If you're in the area and want to pick up your own, you can safely order from here.

16/08/2026: Me and my friend where looking for place to eat on a Sunday before we had to go on a long roadtrip and it's safe to say this place saved us. The moment we walked into the shop we where greeted by a very kind man that made our food. We where given some bread to eat while waiting and when we got the food we noticed extra full portions and incredible chicken. Would eat here again if I'm ever in the region again. Highly reccomend

02/08/2026: We were a family of 4 and got a snack basket, 2 x steak bearnaise, 1 beef/bacon burger, fish fillet with fries and desserts. The service was friendly. Got a basket of bread and pesto before the main courses, which was nice. It's not like "the old days" but the food was okay. The steaks were a bit small, but well-cooked. The garnish was fried root vegetables and microgreens, which is also more delicious than a peeled tomato and boiled vegetable. The burger was big and good. The fish fillets were unfortunately mushy, and had been left for too long. The bearnaise sauce did not live up to expectations - we don't think it tasted that much of bearnaise and was too thin, but that's a matter of taste. We sat so close to them at the table next to us that you could hear each other's conversation. Random and sloppy deco on the walls, which doesn't really fit together and contributes to a cozy atmosphere. All in all okay/mediocre - but for the price you can find several places in Esbjerg with the same menu and better quality. If they are going to differentiate themselves from the competition, they should probably stick to the old concept of beuf tournedos/English steak with bearnaise that sticks to the fork, grandma greens xl and salad with dressing.

31/07/2026: Unfortunately, I didn't have a particularly good first experience at the new "old" Gjesing Bistro. The service seemed disorganized. The young employee behind the counter seemed very uncertain and didn't have everything under control, which gave a somewhat messy first impression. The food also didn't live up to expectations. I was given a very large portion of peas, far more than you can realistically eat - which felt like unnecessary food waste. At the same time, salad came with the other dishes, without it being clearly stated, so this was not eaten either. I also specifically asked if there was tomato in my dish, as I am allergic. I was told that there was no tomato, but when the food was served, there was still a tomato on top. I chose to peel it myself and take an allergy pill, but that meant that I had to do without capers, lemon and other accessories. I had hoped for at least new accessories without contact with the tomato, but this was not offered. The disappointment is only made worse by the fact that the place has been marketed as being "like the old days". If you have experienced the previous quality, the new version unfortunately does not live up to expectations at all. In my experience, there is a big difference between the promises that are marketed and the experience I had :( All in all, the visit was unfortunately a disappointment. In my opinion, there is room for improvement in terms of service, organization, quality and handling of allergens. I hope the place returns to the level that many remember from before, then I will probably give them another chance, but now there is not much pull in wanting to go back.

28/08/2026: 16.08.26 Manager doesn’t care about customer service, buffet food stays still for too long. 1 hr of bowling means 55 minutes. Never come back.

18/08/2026: The taste is amazing and the coffee is excellent if not one of the best combos I had in a long time.

13/08/2026: Iced blueberry matcha is great! Would give 5 star if the sweetness was reduced by 20%.

03/08/2026: I enjoyed delicious coffee and sat in a wonderful atmosphere. Then I browsed the shop. Wonderful treats!

22/07/2026: If you could give zero stars, I would. The ice cream tasted good, but incredibly small for the price. The owner was super rude, and you almost felt like your presence bothered her. I don't understand why she has a shop when she doesn't bother her customers

24/07/2026: Haven't been here yet! BUT! I have heard IRISH are not allowed???!SO, I am on my way, to see if it is so. If so, we'll? Why is it an Irish Bar? If they are profiting from OUR flag, then, THEY, are under scrutiny. And they either change their dress code or they remove their title and are banned from flying the tricolour! How Dare any pub proclaiming to be an Irish pub, REFUSE, Irish Patronage! SORRY, not, on my watch!

06/10/2025: The food is top quality, I had their delicious pizza sandwich, which tasted wonderful. The service is good and I was greeted with a smile and humor. There is a good selection of beers that sit well on the palate ;). All in all, a cozy place that I will return to :)

13/08/2026: Very kind when attending us, on here it says they close almost midnight but they actually close at 21 hrs, and still they let us order and were very kind with us. We ordered a Pizza Mexican #25 was the best pizza in Herning (they said it would be spicy and indeed it was) We ordered Durum Roll and Kebab were delicious

11/07/2026: We had ordered food online and paid for it, but when we arrived they were closed. We then tried calling them several times to get our money back, but have not been able to get in touch with them yet.

05/07/2026: Unfortunately, I can't give a minus. The most incompetent place in Denmark with the rudest people in the industry, arrogant on the phone, but it must be said that not all of them are there, but on Saturday night at 4:00 am on June 21. Have they AGAIN lost control of their ordering app via Wolt and when you call and ask why they are rejecting, the most condescending employee claims we will close in a little while DESPITE it being said on everything including Google Wolt etc that it is at 5:00 am, this is the second time I have ordered from them, it is quite grotesque, the first time they couldn't figure out how to bring hot food, even the wrong food, I am surprised that the place has some positive comments, but of course you can promise people free food or in return for positive reviews, I actually know two who have been "offered" but I wonder if the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration should stop by...🤨

01/07/2026: Got screwed over by their delivery guy because he can't read an address. Even my neighbor had to come out and ask if I needed help. And my address was spelled correctly. I tried several times to explain that there are periods and commas between the numbers. But in vain

22/02/2026: The food leaves more to be desired. Luckily they have a good selection of beer.

15/02/2026: This is just genuinely bad and inhospitable. I wouldn't even recommend this place to a friend.
