02/08/2026: Bad food, pad Thai was boring, red curry dish was tasteless, we chose between spicy, but it is obviously Danish Spice level, even though it is a Thai restaurant. My chicken skewers were dry and tough, no taste and there was a hair in it, cannot be recommended. All the good reviews are obviously from people without taste buds. The place is an open kitchen, so you can hear everything the employees say, and the manager made a crazy comment during our visit, he said to the female waiter, something like “you should just know what me and the wife are doing at home”… Very crazy comment to make when customers can hear it all.

02/08/2026: Okay, is it Thai food? Well, it tastes more like Thai-inspired Danish food, and that's to be expected in a smaller town.

12/12/2025: We were there last year and weren't disappointed on our visit yesterday either. The food was excellent, the atmosphere unique, and the experience fantastic. It was a great opportunity to support a sustainable project and meet other tourists at a shared table. The five-course menu was the highlight of the evening, showcasing a combination of craftsmanship and creativity. Highly recommended!

15/07/2026: Ahhh, so at that price, things just have to work out. You can have a mediocre day, but a bad day where both the food and the service were boring and overdone and the service was slow and unprofessional is not something you can afford at that price level.

28/08/2026: Have visited the place before and sat outside. Delicious milkshake without being extraordinary. Very high noise level, especially due to refrigerated displays. Danish is apparently understood, but answers are given in English. Reasonably stylish interior otherwise, but the noise is a drag.

14/08/2026: The halloumi pitas tasted good. Only that I waited half in hour in the queue to then be told that the advertised vegan pita can only be ordered together with two other vegan pitas. If I would have known that, I would have not gotten in the queue. If you do not sell a vegan pita, do not write it on your board or indicate it accordingly. Sadly disappointing.

15/06/2026: Do not eat here if u don’t want to be disappointed!!! The food was actually quite good, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Unfortunately, the service completely overshadowed what could have been a pleasant breakfast. When we were asked what we would like to drink, we simply requested water. At no point were we informed that this water would cost an additional 70 DKK (10€) for two people. Only after paying did we notice the charge on the receipt. What made the situation worse was the attitude when we asked about it. Instead of a professional and understanding explanation, we were met with a sarcastic tone that made us feel unwelcome and as if our question was unreasonable. Customers should never feel uncomfortable for asking about charges on their bill. The water itself was also disappointing. We were told it was good-quality water, yet the taste was unpleasant enough that we barely drank it. Paying extra for something we hardly touched and were never properly informed about felt frustrating and misleading. Transparency matters. If water is not complimentary, customers should be clearly informed before ordering. A simple warning would have prevented this entire negative experience. Good food alone is not enough to make up for poor communication, unexpected charges, and an unfriendly attitude. Sadly, despite enjoying the breakfast, we left feeling disappointed rather than satisfied. I would not return, and I would advise future customers to carefully check the menu and ask about every extra charge before ordering.

09/09/2026: We had a lovely dinner there, with 2 people and 2 dogs. Because we arrived on time (around 17:45), there was still room inside. You could also sit comfortably on the heated terrace. The staff was very friendly and the service very quick. The food was fresh and good but not exceptional, but the reasonable price reflected that. Definitely recommended.

30/08/2026: While eye catching on the outside, Bottega Barlie had by far the worst customer service that I have ever experienced at any establishment. The staff were extremely disgruntled, inattentive, and overall rude. Many of the servers repeatedly asked us why we were waiting in line, as if the whole point of a restaurant isn't to eat food. One server even told us that we couldn't wait in a line outside the restaurant, nor could we stand in a line in the restaurant, and wouldn't give us a third option as to where to patiently wait for an open table. We should have left then. When seated, there was not a sense of urgency in the building that it took 45+ minutes to get a table, only to realize that Breakfast was no longer being served, and we were expected to pay 200dkk for white beans. Needless to say I will not be returning to a restaurant that prides itself on its mediocrity and poor service.

24/06/2026: It's a cozy small place, with a lovely small staff attending you. Food took its time, which is an appreciated guarantee of some freshness. This is also helped by the fact you can look into the kitchen yourself and see the cook at work. All very tidy and clean. Food was delicious! It's often you will find in some Thai places food completely overpowered by grease/oil. This was not the case here! All incredibly flavorful and well balanced, all cooked on point! No complaints whatsoever. Cozy place. Great selection. Loving staff. Quick service. Great food. It made for a great end to our evening!

13/06/2026: Wonderful Thai food and an incredible alternative for me with celiac disease! I had Pad Thai, Poh Pir Gapraw, fried banana and also tried their chicken pops! Delicious food, a bit expensive but definitely worth it for the experience! Their chili sauce was also delicious! I highly recommend this homey restaurant and will definitely go here again if I find myself in Copenhagen. As someone with a celiac diagnosis since I was little, I have never tried real fried chicken or banana, and only tried spring rolls once in school, so this experience was absolutely wonderful! My sibling who I went with said that there was no taste difference between the ‘regular’ food and these gluten-free varieties, so I am completely satisfied! Thank you so much! 💜

26/07/2026: The soup was a bit too salty other than that it was brilliant I loved the chicken, the ramen and the speed could be a little bit faster as well.

25/07/2026: We were a group of four. Satisfaction with the food varied greatly across the four different dishes we ordered. The atmosphere was typical of a fast-food restaurant. Self-service.

20/05/2026: The food is as expected, not bad but not wow from previous visits either. Closes when it suits them, their "opening hours" are not followed, they open and close as the wind blows. Feels a little racist towards whites because I came a quarter past closing time and couldn't get food, even though others of other ethnic backgrounds were standing around eating and drinking. Then they have to close when it's time to close and clean up afterwards. Won't be back, luckily I have another favorite place close by.

05/06/2026: This is a staff canteen that happens to be open to the public too… some people might take a quick glance and wonder to themselves if they’ve seen you at work before, but otherwise the service staff is so warm and friendly. The food is top notch - super fresh, thoughtfully prepared and just plain satisfying. Absolutely worth the detour.
