01/05/2026: The salmon cakes were delicious, the ocean view was unbeatable, and I recommend trying the local organic elderflower soda – it's subtly sweet and fragrant, and so refreshing.

14/04/2026: Very delicious! We had fish and chips and a steak sandwich with sauce. Big kudos to the chef! The place is so cozy right by the water. Sweet service and great atmosphere. There is also a delicious selection of beer and soda. Apricot water from FREM is the best.

03/06/2026: Dropped in for a quick cheap feed, and we were pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Friendly table service, food & drink exactly what we expected.

08/09/2025: Fell for the sign the city's best meal, unfortunately it didn't quite live up to the slogan, but a super delicious fresh salad and a delicious kebab meat, but unfortunately sadly it had to be in a dry and flat pita bread, if it had been a good pita bread it would have been the best pita in town for sure, but really nice and friendly service, nice with tables outside unfortunately a bit boring, the detail is missing.

31/05/2026: We got the durum kebab menu. Possibly one of the best I’ve had yet in Denmark. Top 3 for sure. They really fill up the durum. But the prices have gone up a lot. Pictures online say 70kr but it’s 110kr now…

26/05/2026: Great little kebab place! Visiting from the USA and found them on Google. Wife and I along with our 3 kids got a variety of bowls and pitas. Food was super fresh, huge portions and great prices. Definitely recommend.

12/06/2026: Lovely light lunch, in some unusually charming surroundings after a stroll through Valby Park's themed gardens which worked up an appetite....we chose to share two toasts: Mushroom toast w/ North Sea cheese, caramelised onions, truffle mayo & salad Classic toast w/free-range ham, North Sea cheese, caramelised onions & salad

28/12/2025: Love, love, love! Decided to give this place a try and have zero regrets. I absolutely loved it since these are most definitely the best cookies I have ever had. Also very lovely service! We stacked up on some cookies for the flight back to take back home for family and friends and the cookies were carefully individually packed for the trip back. I will be visiting again as soon as I am back in Copenhagen. With greetings and love from Estonia.

29/05/2026: The pizza and sandwiches were delicious. The only downside was that there was nowhere to sit, so you had to eat standing up, but in terms of taste, we really liked them compared to other countries.

13/09/2025: I visited ILUKA about a year ago, and it’s still one of the meals I think of whenever I think back to Copenhagen. Everything was so flavorful I could hardly sit still while eating, and even the simple oysters were outstanding. I’d love to come back again!

27/03/2026: 🤮 Worst thing I've ever had delivered I don't know what they're doing, but this was inedible. The crust was burnt and raw at the same time, the cheese tasted like plastic, and the whole thing was floating in some kind of rancid, unidentifiable oil. It was ice cold when it arrived, and the filling looked like something that had been out of date for a long time. I took one bite and threw the rest straight in the trash. Save your money and stay away. This place is a real stomach bug waiting to happen. Stars: 1/5 (only because you have to give one).

26/08/2025: A very cozy place, perfect to enjoy a good coffee and relax. Sofía’s service was excellent, kind, attentive, and always with a smile, which made the experience even more special. I’ll definitely come back!

09/06/2026: Was at a conference with overnight stay. Beautiful hotel with an atmosphere of the "old" days with nice decor. Service was faultless and the room was nice and clean. There are also good parking options close to the hotel at a reasonable price. Or free a few minutes walk away.

07/06/2026: We had a wonderful stay at Marienlyst Strandhotel. The hotel is beautifully located right by the sea, with stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere that makes it easy to relax and unwind. Our room was spacious and luxurious, featuring an incredibly comfortable bed and a large bathroom with two showers. Everything was thoughtfully designed and made our stay feel truly special. Although we did not have dinner at the hotel, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast early in the morning. The quality and selection were excellent and provided a perfect start to the day. I also visited the spa. While parts of it are currently under renovation, there were still facilities available to enjoy, and the experience was very relaxing. I am already looking forward to returning once the renovation is completed. One of the highlights of the hotel is its fantastic location. Sitting by the sea with a glass of wine, enjoying the view of Kronborg Castle (Hamlet’s Castle), or taking a peaceful walk along the waterfront creates a truly memorable experience. Marienlyst Strandhotel is one of the most beautiful and relaxing places I have visited in Denmark. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and peaceful getaway, and I cannot wait to return.

20/10/2025: The carpaccio as a starter was absolutely delicious, but the pizza as a main course was truly tasteless; the dough and toppings were unfortunately unseasoned. The only interesting thing was the stone-baked dish, which I think is rare here, at least because the place was already packed.

18/10/2025: We found this Italian restaurant down the street from our hotel and what a surprise! Best service, a solid menu and fresh pasta with authentic Italian flavor. Stop by if you can!

26/08/2025: Nice little old cinema in old Hillerød near the castle. There are an average of 2 shows a day. There is a nice cafe on site. Very atmospheric. Good service and friendly (volunteer) staff. Definitely worth a visit.

23/09/2025: An excellent little place to order takeout pizzas at a good price and quality. The pizza selection is extensive. The staff made the pizzas very quickly and were very friendly. Highly recommended, also for its convenient location.
