11/10/2025: A welcoming owner and host, always up for a good joke, and a fantastic atmosphere in the small "Gammel Havn Café" in Thorsminde – what more could you want? Whether you're looking for lunch or enjoying afternoon coffee with a delicious apple pie or a refreshing ice cream, the "Old Harbor Café" is always the right place. Of course, you can also enjoy a good Danish beer and other spirits, breathe in the fragrant harbor air in the sunshine outside, watch the amateur anglers on the fjord shore or the returning fishermen unloading their catch in the small harbor, or simply relax. You hardly notice how quickly the time passes, and when you leave, you're already looking forward to your next visit.

29/12/2025: A really lovely shop with a charming Christmas corner. Elf enthusiasts will find plenty of crafting supplies here. The rest of the shop has everything your heart desires: decorations, candles, toys, clothing, Danish merchandise, and, what we especially appreciated, it doesn't have that touristy feel that unfortunately plagues so many other shops around Ringkøbing Fjord. They offer typical Danish decorations. Right next to the shop is a great café that invites you to linger, and if you like, you can even make your own candles. Simply hygge!

27/07/2025: A very nice bakery with, besides the usual selection, some very luxurious pastries and cakes. It's also a great place to pick up sandwiches and grab a coffee to go. There's no seating, but there's a small square opposite, which offers a nice spot in dry weather.

02/05/2026: We wanted to have lunch at this restaurant and waited patiently at the entrance to the terrace to be seated. This took a while, but we were understanding. The server then showed us to a table. Just as we were about to sit down, we were told that dogs were not allowed and that we therefore had to leave. Our dog was with us the entire time, including at the entrance. We only went onto the terrace and not inside the restaurant. There was no indication there that dogs were not welcome. Furthermore, we have never experienced anything like this anywhere else in Denmark, where people are generally very welcoming to dogs. We left without arguing. If they don't want us and our dog, they can't have us at all. The restaurant is doing itself a disservice and excluding a large customer base.

07/02/2026: They are really nice!! And good atmosphere they have a TV that has all the channels and it was pretty cool to be able to eat and watch some football while at the restaurant. The service is fast and easy.

04/04/2026: Pasta — very so so and nothing special Pizza is a bit surprise — pretty good one but I asked if they can use pizza cutter help to cut it, they seems very surprise ?! The knife I have is not shape so wish they understand. Price is fair and food is average level. All ok !

Despite the name being older than the current menu, Byens Grill Kylling serves freshly grilled shawarma and kebab made with excellent ingredients sourced locally, including fresh produce from the nearby QB market. You can taste the difference immediately—everything feels fresh, well-prepared, and made with pride. The menu is intentionally small, with around 10 dishes, and that focus really shows. Every order hits the spot. No unnecessary overload, no shortcuts—just good food done properly. The owner deserves special mention. He is genuinely kind, welcoming, and communicates clearly. You feel seen as a customer, not rushed or ignored. He makes sure you’re properly fed and happy with your order, which is sadly becoming rare these days. And the portion sizes? Absolutely ridiculous—in the best way possible. You will not leave hungry. In fact, you’ll probably struggle to finish it, but you’ll enjoy every bite. The place itself is small and modest, but that only adds to the charm. It feels authentic, clean, and honest—focused on what actually matters: great food and good people. If you’re looking for high-quality shawarma or kebab, made fresh with care, this is easily one of the best spots in town. A local gem that deserves support and repeat visits. Highly recommended.

08/12/2025: We were in Copenhagen for three days and Karla was recommended to us for its regional cuisine. Making a reservation online was easy and even possible at short notice. The atmosphere is rather rustic. The service was friendly, attentive, and efficient. The food was amazing. The roast pork with the gravy was so tender and delicious. My husband had the Wiener Schnitzel and was also incredibly impressed. We can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant and would definitely come back. 04/04/2026: If you’re welcomed with a cheerful “Buongiorno” at the entrance, you can already suspect you’re in the right place. That feeling is only confirmed when a beautiful, aromatic, perfectly composed pizza arrives at your table. The dough is ideal — thin, crispy, straight from the oven, and really hot!! I highly recommend this place and I will definitely come back. 🔥🔥🔥🫶

28/10/2025: I signed up for the waiting list on the website and received a confirmation email, but it says I can't see it in the system. The person waiting at the entrance is uncaring and annoying. They also ask you to enter your credit card information when making a reservation. In short, they make you experience a bad experience before you even eat.
