11/08/2026: Really delicious open sandwiches. We had looked at the size of the open sandwiches that the other tables were served and they looked a bit small. Ours was too, so it's a bit expensive if you have to have two pieces each. We ended up with 450 kr. for two pieces of open sandwiches, a glass of elderflower and a beer. I don't think we'll do that again. But nice place, really good service and good food.

02/08/2026: Cozy place, with a nice atmosphere and good food - open sandwiches, although on the expensive side, considering the size / price... 129 kr. For a medium-sized potato dish with a little onion and bacon and a flower on top, here you pay just as much for the coziness, the atmosphere and the place as such.

19/08/2026: Amazing Indian food, including a dish I've rarely had outside of India: Marsala Dosa. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ If you haven't tried it, you absolutely must!

09/08/2026: Our hunt was to eat south Indian delicacies and found this place. Ordered Cauliflower 65 and onion fritters for starters . Idli, Dosa and rainbow rice for mains . Everything was decent but sambar was average bit sour and lacking authentic taste. Could do better . Attached picture is one third of the portion of rainbow rice. Overall nice experience.

30/08/2026: An absolutely fantastic experience, top-class food and setting! We had the great pleasure of taking my 93-year-old father on a combined sailing and dinner with M/S Sagafjord. I had tried the trip myself 30 years ago and remembered it as a wonderful evening and the trip today completely lived up to the memories and more! Even before boarding, the fun started at the cozy Roskilde Harbor. When the doors opened, we were greeted by a warm and professional welcome, and a waiter personally accompanied us to our table. We were assigned a fantastic round table for four people right at the bow, which gave us a unique panoramic view of the fjord during the entire trip. My father, who had never sailed with Sagafjord before, was deeply excited from the start. We had ordered a 3-course menu from home (haddock, pork cheeks and apple trifle), and the food was absolutely on par with the beautiful surroundings. It was really tasty and beautifully prepared. One of the highlights of the evening was when my father and I went for a walk on deck and were allowed to visit the captain in the wheelhouse for a nice chat. It is clear to see that the beautiful old ship is looked after and cared for at the shipyard every year, it is in razor-sharp condition. Conclusion: You get fantastic food at prices that match a completely ordinary restaurant, but here you just get an unforgettable total experience and unique nature included in the deal. This is definitely not the last time we visit Sagafjord! The warmest recommendations from here.

28/08/2026: We had a wonderful time on board, nice food, drinks and service. Thr view of the fjord was so peaceful. Dont hesitate tocgo on the deck to enjoy it tocthe most. Everything was perfect!

22/08/2026: Very disappointing experience I was really hoping for a good experience, but unfortunately it was the opposite. The food was so greasy that it was difficult to enjoy it. It didn't seem like much thought had been given to quality or taste. Unfortunately the service made the experience even worse. The waiter was rude, dismissive and made me feel like I was a nuisance. You don't expect perfect service, but basic friendliness should be a given. All in all it was an unpleasant experience that I don't want to repeat. I hope the restaurant takes the criticism seriously, because there is clearly room for improvement. Do not recommend!

16/08/2026: When I arrived, despite the fact that there were spaces closer to the window, I was seated right at the back of the restaurant on my own. FOOD: The Vitello Tonnato had 1cm thick cream on top - inedible. The tagliatelle with truffles was a mushroom tagliatelle (overcooked pasta instead of al dente). Could not find the truffles but there were pieces of meat. Final touch, the atmosphere: the music was supermarket music, instrumental versions (not the original ones) of tubes from the 80s. Service was courteous but not really helpful. If that’s your thing, don’t hesitate to visit. It wasn’t mine …

09/08/2026: ​The dishes were really delicious — you can tell the owner and the head chef really know their craft and understand good food. The staff weren't the friendliest, but I understand that everyone can have an off day. Overall, a great experience!

05/08/2026: Highly recommended! The food is truly exceptional! The Parisian-style minced steak came with red onions, horseradish, capers, vegetables, and egg yolk – a perfectly balanced combination! The children's portions are very generous. Dessert is also incredibly delicious! The house and garden are lovely, and you feel very comfortable there! Reservations are advisable! Unfortunately, there are very few restaurants in the area; Helnæs Kro is a real hidden gem!

28/08/2026: Super cozy cafe with the absolute sweetest and most helpful staff! When it started raining, they were quick to come out with blankets for us. Especially Stig and Alexander provided fantastic service and were incredibly nice. This is definitely not the last time I visit this cafe!
